Patriotic Thank You

** 6/11/17 Top 3 at Not Just Cards Challenges! **
** 7/1/17 Spotlight Winner at A Perfect time To Craft Open Challenge Blog! **

Hi everyone! I’m back with another post on this fine 1st day of June which marks the middle of the year already… can you believe it?! We have a brand new challenge launching over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #98 – Boyz Rule! We’d love to see your masculine projects this time! Our sponsors this month are Oddball Art Co., DRS Designs and Bugaboo Digi Stamps so come on over and play with us for a chance to win an awesome prize!

I used the amazing Soldiers of America greeting from DRS Designs for my CAS patriotic thank you card. This is a shout-out to all the men in my family who have served in the military – my father, my son, my husband and my brother-in-law. Thank you for your service! I really enjoyed creating this card, as it had meaning.

I’ve got the die cutting fever again and have been playing with my Scan N Cut (a lot) since we got situated after our move. I thought these awesome patriotic and square frame cut files would pair perfectly with the DRS Designs greeting!

And nothing says ‘thank you’ any better than this…

Crazy cat lady and crafting junkie! We have 10 feline rescues. I’m addicted to stamping and love making cards, ATCs, and 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, paper purses and mini albums). I also dabble in mixed media, art journaling, altered art and custom jewelry. If you’re looking for me, I’ll either be in my studio or getting some kitty lovins! ;)

  2. fantastic card, very striking and yes, you’re right to thank them….is the scan n cut easier to use than the cameo ? or did you change because it’s smaller in size ? i find the cameo not that easy to use

  3. Shuly- I’ve owned four die cutting machines over the past 10 years. Started with the personal size Cricut and then the Cricut Expression- both used cartridges that took up tons of space. I bought the Cameo when it came out because it didn’t use cartridges but didn’t find it very easy to use. I ‘muddled’ through it for several years until I found the Scan N Cut last year. I LOVE the Scan N Cut! It’s phenomenal. Easy to use right out of the box. I highly recommend it! :)
