A little note

Hello, my crafty friends! Thanks for hanging with me this morning – the first of the month is always busy, lol! Our first challenge of the new year goes live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #105 – Anything Goes! We’re being sponsored this month by the very awesome CAS-ual Friday Stamps so be sure to come on over and play!

I created a get well card as I don’t have nearly enough of them in my stash. The lovely Michele, owner of CAS-ual Friday Stamps, provided each of us with a stamp set of our choice, and I chose Pretty Posies to create with. I absolutely L-O-V-E this stamp set!

I did a lot of masking to create this corner cluster of posies. I quickly colored the blooms with water-based markers, as my original plan was to watercolor. As I was setting my space up to watercolor, I started thinking about the possibility of having to re-do all the masking if the watercoloring didn’t work out. I’m such a novice. So I changed my mind about the watercoloring since I made myself so nervous, and added some sparkle overlay marker instead, lol! Hindsight is always 20/20 and I wish I had gone ahead used my Spectrum Noir markers for that ‘wow’ color factor. So you’ll be seeing more of this stamp set! ;)

I took an angled shot in hopes that you could see the sparkle! ;)

I kept the inside fairly simple with a strip of black cardstock and a stamped sentiment.
