Hello, my crafty friends! A very Merry Christmas Eve to you all! Today is my Featured Post Day on the Gecko Galz blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for the 24 Days of Deck The Halls which is going on December 2nd thru 25th! I created a fun mixed media tag using one of the Snow Queens images along with elements from the Library Cards, Time Flies and Charming Words Collage Sheets. I started by cutting the image with a stitched oval die and layering it a couple times on thick white cardstock, then adhering it to a slightly larger die cut and then some Foamies foam on the back.
I tore the bottom off and inked the whole tag with the three shades of blue distress ink, then applied grit paste over the stencil on the top and right side of the tag. I adhered cork tape across the bottom and then a strip of a library card onto the cork tape. I then splattered opaque white pigment over the entire tag with a fan brush.
I adhered two sections of a clock in the upper right corner and along the bottom left, and then the Tiara sentiment across the library card strip on the cork tape at the bottom. I adhered the layered focal image and tucked a heart applique under the edge. I glued a cluster of seed beads at the bottom and added a few gold sequins to finish it off.
