sorry for the loss of your furry friend

11/2/19 Winner at A Bit More Time To Craft Challenge!
11/6/19 Winner at Word Art Wednesday!

Hi everyone! It’s Day 3 of the 2019 Cat Lovers Hop and I’m popping in to share another card with you this morning! If you’re a fellow cat lover, be sure to come on over and play – Janis has worked hard getting tons of sponsors so that means there are tons of prizes to be won!

Sympathy cards in general don’t come easy for me to create but they are almost necessary to have in our arsenal of cards. So I created a pet sympathy card featuring dies from a variety of companies.

I wanted to convey sympathy but also wanted to keep the design light and friendly. I used Crafter’s Companion ‘Ruth’ Create-A-Card die set for the card base and layers. I used a Paper Smooches die as the focal point on the front and Paper Smooches stamped sentiment. I had the tiny punched hearts in my stash left over from another project that I thought were perfect to add.

I left the inside blank to write a custom sentiment, and embellished the panel with an Impression Obsession die cut cat.

And here’s one more peek… very happy with how this turned out!

  4. Ths came out so lovely. I think the yellow kinda stands for
sunshine and brightness, so it works well to keep a sad
    moment light.

  7. What a fabulous stamp to have on hand. Leslie. We all have friends who lose their pets, and this is really an awesome sentiment. I love how you kept it simple, yet gave it such a clean and happy feel to lift their spirits. Never a fun reason to have to send a card, but it will surely be a blessing and a comfort. Thanks SO much for playing along with us and linking up, and please stop by again soon.
