’tis the season

Hi everyone! Hope your week is off to a great start and it’s not too awfully hot where you are! I’m thrilled to be back on the blog today over at The Project Bin with another crafty tutorial! If you’re interested, take a peek at that HERE. I was provided the amazing North Pole stamp set and created a super fun tone-on-tone Christmas card in a non-traditional color – another contribution to “Christmas in June” on the blog. It’s never too early to get started on those Christmas cards or projects!

This was such an easy design and I had a great time creating the card. Using the circular cluster of snowflakes in the stamp set, I masked off the sentiment in the center of the cluster and stamped snowflakes over the entire front panel, masking other areas of the stamp as needed to fill in blank areas. Lots of masking, lots of stamping and lots of sticky notes used, lol, but definitely worth it! I popped up the panel on foam and then adhered it to the card base. I stamped the front sentiment on a handmade tag and embellished it with a pretty seam binding bow. The finishing touch on the front panel was the addition of gloss white Crystal Drops in the center of each of the large snowflakes, and a few on the tag.

I stamped the inside sentiment, adhered a narrow strip of cardstock down the left side of the inside panel and layered the panel on the teal cardstock.

And another peek… super happy with how this turned out! Lots of work but definitely worth it! ;)
