Happy Saturday, peeps! I hope you had a spectacular week – they sure are going by fast, aren’t they?! I’m thrilled to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created another CAS card to add to my series of clean and simple cards paying tribute to our frontline healthcare workers. This card features a single quarantine-inspired brad (from a series of brads that are new in the store) along with some washi tape and my favorite enamel dots!
Another super simple design that would be easy to mass produce. I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from white cardstock along with layering panels from dark teal cardstock, and rounded the top right and bottom left corners. I printed computer-generated sentiments on white cardstock, trimmed the panels and rounded the corners. I applied two strips of Sky Washi Tape horizontally across the lower portion of the front panel and then added a strip of Silver Dots Skinny Washi Tape across the seam of the two Sky strips. I added a Mask Brad just to the left of the sentiment and three White Enamel Dots, then adhered the panel to a teal cardstock layer.

Hi friends! Wow, February has literally flown by! We still have a little snow on the ground where we are in southwestern Colorado but we sure don’t mind – we love it! This is my last post for Just Us Girls Challenge and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time guest designing this month! I’m stoked to share my project for Photo Week #573! How awesome is this inspiration photo?! Loving the northern lights background – and I found a super easy way to create it!
I originally planned to use distress ink to create the northern lights background but decided to use alcohol ink instead. The colors aren’t quite as vibrant but the black cityscape die cut sure pops against this background!
I created a standard A2 size landscape top-folding card base from Solar White cardstock along with a silver foil layering panel and a Yupo paper panel for the background. I dropped eggplant, cranberry, sailboat blue, aqua and lettuce alcohol inks onto the Yupo paper and then squirted alcohol blending solution across the top of the panel and let the blended inks run downward onto a paper towel. While the panel dried, I cut one black and one yellow cityscape. I adhered the black cityscape die cut to the bottom of the panel and then adhered the panel to the silver foil cardstock layer. I adhered all the windows from the yellow die cut into the negative spaces on the black die cut and stamped the sentiment in black StazOn ink. Once the StazOn was dry, I adhered the panel to the card base and added three tiny iridescent gemstones.
I dug through my scrap bin and found a couple light blue cardstock scraps and cut strips which I adhered down the left side of the inside panel along with a strip of black cardstock. I stamped the sentiment and layered the panel on silver foil cardstock.
And one more look… such a fun design that was so easy to create!

Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a fabulous week! I’m stoked to be back on the CutCardStock blog today with an awesome DT inspiration project featuring a very cool vintage Santa on a handmade background using Neenah Classic Linen and Crest cardstock (both are on sale this month so be sure to get you some) along with a variety of other cardstock. Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I’m filling in today for a teammate who is caught up in some pretty gnarly weather where she is and unable to create a project. I had this Santa cut and assembled, sitting on my desk waiting to be made into something, so I volunteered to fill in so I could use him! He’s so stinkin’ cute, I can’t stand it!

Hi friends! I hope you’re having a fantastic week! I’m stoked to be back on the CutCardStock blog today with an awesome DT inspiration project featuring more of the Classic Linen and Classic Crest cardstock that was included in our Designer’s Pack – which happens to be on sale this month so be sure to get some! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I created an awesome congrats card that looks like quilt blocks!
This was such a fun card to make and was really easy. I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Classic Linen Solar White 100# cardstock. I cut 12 1-1/2″ squares of patterned paper and layered them on 1-5/8″ square layers cut from Basis Teal 80# cardstock, then adhered them in an offset fashion on the front of the card base. I trimmed the edges even with the edges of the card base, added a stamped and layered sentiment strip and some iridescent gemstones to the flower centers.
I cut the inside panel from Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock, embellished it with a strip of teal cardstock, stamped the sentiment and layered the panel on a teal layer.
And one more peek… so in love with this card! This cardstock is so awesome and makes the most beautiful cards!

Hi everyone! A very Happy Tuesday to you! I have some great news to share – I was personally recruited by the owner of The Outlawz Challenges to join the Tuesday Color Challenge DT! I’m elated – I love playing in all their challenges so why not throw in some inspiration while I’m at it?! The Outlawz Challenges has been running a DT Call and I had not applied because I really wasn’t looking to get on any additional challenge teams, but I just couldn’t resist Laurian’s invite, so here I am! A new ‘5 Colors Plus Twist’ challenge has started today over at The Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge and our sponsor is Polkadoodles so come on over and play! I was in the mood for a shaped card so I grabbed the adorable Polkadoodles Octavia Moonfly Unicorn digital image (part of a big kahuna download bundle) from my stash and created a sweet hybrid birthday card.
For the 5 Colors Plus Twist challenge this fortnight, we are to use at least three of the five colors shown in the photo below with a twist of adding a doily. I used pink, teal and purple.
I printed the precolored image on 60# Hammermill copy paper, cut it with a stitched mini scallop die, and layered it on a teal stitched oval die cut. I stamped the sentiment in black StazOn ink and set it aside to dry thoroughly. I cut the shaped card base from Neenah Solar White along with a pink shaped layer. I adhered two narrow silver glitter cardstock strips vertically down the center of the card front with a narrow purple strip between them. I added a purple tie-dyed doily which I cut in half and then adhered the layered focal image. I added iridescent gemstones for a little interest.
I adhered a pink shaped layer to the inside of the card base, then a slightly smaller white shaped layer embellished with teal and silver glitter cardstock strips and a sentiment stamped in purple ink.
And one more look… totally loving how this turned out! Such a pretty color palette we were given to work with!

Hi friends! Hope you had a wonderful week and you’re looking forward to something fun this weekend! I’m excited to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another DT inspiration project using the new quarantine-inspired brads in the store. The card I’m sharing today is another one in my series aimed at paying tribute to our frontline healthcare workers, but really could be given to anyone who has experienced something unpleasant. And the sentiment is so spot on – “crap” happens to all of us at one time or another but we always seem to bounce back! ;)
I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from black cardstock. I printed the sentiment from a digital stamp set on white cardstock and trimmed the panel so the sentiment was in the bottom right corner. I applied a strip of Wide Music Washi Tape horizontally across the panel and then added White Pearl Bling Strip across the top and bottom of the washi tape. I added two Toilet Paper Brads to the left of the sentiment and then adhered the panel to the card base. I finished the card front with several individual pearls from the bling strip.
I created the inside sentiment on the computer, printed it on white cardstock and trimmed the panel so the sentiment was centered toward the top. I embellished the panel with a strip of the washi tape cut in half lengthwise and a narrow black strip of cardstock, and adhered the panel on the inside of the card base.
And one more look… totally love how girly this turned out! And I love both sentiments!

Hi friends! I hope you had a great week and have something fun planned this weekend! I’m guesting this month for Just Us Girls Challenge and I’m delighted to share my project for Color Week #572 – Rainbow Colors! I’ve mentioned before that clean and simple cards have always been intimidating, but over the last year or so I’ve become more comfortable creating them. When Vicki sent me this challenge graphic, I knew immediately what I was going to create!
I used stamp sets from Paper Smooches and Prickley Pear Stamps to create a CAS love-themed card featuring a shimmery rainbow with puffy clouds. How stinkin’ cute is this?!
I created a standard A2 top folding landscape card base and rounded the bottom right corner. I stamped the rainbow and little birds on the card base and colored them with Prismacolor pencils. I added shimmer to the rainbow with a Clear Star Gelly Roll pen, then stamped and die cut the clouds and affixed them to the ends of the rainbow with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment in the bottom right corner and added two stamped and die cut hearts.
I kept the inside super simple with just a sentiment stamped in red and colored in with the Clear Star Gelly Roll pen, and an added black glitter alpha sticker.
And one more look… such a fun design! Sometimes less is more! ;)

Hi everyone! A very Happy Saturday to you! I’m thrilled to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! We were gifted some pretty cool quarantine-inspired brads that are new in the store, and all the designers on the team have been creating some pretty amazing stuff, so be sure to check them out! I have been slowly migrating toward CAS for a while now and I made a series of clean and simple cards using these new brads as a way to pay tribute to our frontline healthcare workers during this pandemic. Hopefully we will see an end to this soon.
I created a standard A2 size top-folding card base from black cardstock. I created the front sentiment on the computer so I printed it on white cardstock and trimmed the panel so that the sentiment was in the lower right corner. I embellished the panel with two strips of silver Glitter Skinny Washi Tape spaced a short distance apart with a narrow strip of black cardstock adhered between them slightly offset to the right. Using a Hero Arts stamp set, I stamped the face just above the sentiment and added a Mask Brad. I added three randomly placed Black Enamel Dots to the background and adhered the panel to the front of the card base.
I embellished the inside panel with a strip of the silver glitter skinny washi tape and a narrow strip of black cardstock, stamped the sentiment in black ink and adhered the panel to the inside of the card base.
And one more look… really happy with how this turned out! Sometimes less is more! And this image really reminds me of Audrey Hepburn back in her younger years!
