yay for love!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday! I hope you had a great weekend and have something fun planned this weekend! I have a pretty CutCardStock DT inspiration project to share this morning featuring our Bright Gold Foil cardstock which I paired with our Basis Green and Basis Light Lime cardstock. This engagement or wedding congratulations card has a filigree leaf background cut from the gold foil cardstock which really makes a statement!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding landscape card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock. Using the Dare 2B Artzy Leaf Background die set, I cut the filigree leaf background from Bright Gold Foil cardstock which I adhered to a Basis Green cardstock stitched rectangle panel with spray adhesive. I die cut a stitched leaf from Basis Light Lime cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Happy & Heartfelt stamp set in Catherine Pooler Deck the Halls ink. I picked out a die cut foiled floral element that I had already created with the Pinkfresh Studio Joyful Bouquet washi tape and die, adhered it to the top of the leaf, and then adhered the panel to the card base. I added several Kat Scrappiness gold pearls to the leaf which completed the card front.

Using the same Dare 2B Artzy Leaf Backfground die set, I die cut a stitched rectangle panel from Basis Green cardstock for the inside along with a thin frame from Bright Gold Foil cardstock which I adhered to the stitched rectangle panel with spray adhesive. I also die cut a slightly smaller stitched rectangle panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock using a My Favorite things Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics along with an embellishing strip from Basis Light Lime cardstock which I adhered together. I stamped a sentiment (from the same Stampin’ Up Happy & Heartfelt stamp set) in Catherine Pooler Deck the Halls ink. I adhered an additional Pinkfresh Studio foiled floral element and adhered the panel to the inside of the card base.

And one more look… totally loving how this turned out! Green is my favorite color, so I automatically went for the Basis Green and Basis Light Lime cardstock to compliment the Bright Gold Foil cardstock!

Crazy cat lady and crafting junkie! We have 10 feline rescues. I’m addicted to stamping and love making cards, ATCs, and 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, paper purses and mini albums). I also dabble in mixed media, art journaling, altered art and custom jewelry. If you’re looking for me, I’ll either be in my studio or getting some kitty lovins! ;)
