** 2/15/17 Special Mention at World Wide Open Design Team Monthly Challenge! **
Hi everyone! Happy Hump Day! It’s unbelievable how quickly January passed by us. It’s time for another fun challenge over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m stoked to share my DT inspiration project for February Anything Goes! I hope you will join us this month. Remember, we welcome all kinds of handmade projects – from cards, tags, ATCs and scrapbook layouts to 3-D projects, mixed media canvases and altered projects – and even knitting, crocheting and jewelry! We want to see whatever you’re working on!
Today I’m showcasing a 4″ square shutter card that I made using Stampin’ Up! products. I made my first one in shades of blue a while back and really loved it… so much so that I made another one, this time in warm tones of yellow and brown. Instead of my signature big bow on the front, I stamped and die cut a large layered flower with leaves. The closure is a tiny magnet under the sentiment tag. Here are a few progressive shots of the card opening up – check out the shutter opening to reveal the inside sentiment. So fun! :D
And finally, here’s a shot of the entire inside. Love the construction of this! I see another one of these in my near future – and it will be a different size! I do not recall exactly where I found the tutorial for this fold originally but I’ve searched and came up with one on YouTube that looks pretty similar HERE. Enjoy!
