Good Luck

Hi everyone! Can you believe we’re fast approaching the middle of this year, lol?! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #109 – Anything Goes! We’re being sponsored this month by DRS Designs so be sure to come over and play for a chance to win a prize! I used the very cool See You Later, Alligator stamp as the focal image for my Pull Tab Slider Card. You know I love my fun folds and I thoroughly enjoyed this one, as you can only imagine! My inspiration came from my friend Dawn (yep, once again) HERE.

2018_04300009a

I stamped the sentiment as the focal point in black ink on green cardstock and cut it with a square die. I cut a slightly larger square die cut in black glitter paper and then a postage stamp die cut in the green cardstock, and layered them all together.

2018_04300010a

Here’s the fun part of this card – the pull tab mechanism with the Good Luck sentiment. As you pull the tab, the sentiment slides over to the right. Super cute!

2018_04300011a

And here’s a shot of the inside which I left blank to write a custom sentiment.

you are terrific Note Card

Hi everyone! Happy Weekend, Happy Sunday, Happy Easter! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #108 – April Showers Bring May Flowers! We are being sponsored this month by the amazing CAS-ual Fridays Stamps so come on over and play with us for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate! I created a fun note card featuring  fussy cut flowers and leaves from the Pretty Posies stamp set! I sure do love note cards as they are so versatile.

Leslie

I stamped all the flowers and leaves on different patterned papers to coordinate with the colors in my handmade background. I created the background by swiping four distress oxide inks vertically and horizontally on watercolor paper, and spritzing with a little water. Once dry, I cut with a Dotted Ovals die. Then I placed all the flowers and leaves along the left side and stamped the sentiment.

2018_04010002a

I used some Glossy Accents on the centers of the flowers and put a few dots on the background (which is kind of hard to see in these photos). I left the layered panel on the inside blank to write a custom message.

Inspirational Note Cards (set of 6)

Hello, crafty friends! Happy March 1st, known affectionately as the green month! Sit back and stay a while – I have several more posts for you this morning! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #107 – Anything Goes! We are being sponsored this month by the amazing Blank Page Muse (formerly Sin City Stamps) and the lovely Kim was kind enough to send all of our designers stamps to play with! I chose a single stamp from the Fairies & Blossoms 2 Rubber Stamp Set to create a CAS set of 6 inspirational note cards featuring some paper piecing. Stay tuned for an additional project or two using stamps from this amazing sponsor! ;)

I stamped the flower with butterfly and fairy six times on thick white cardstock and fussy cut each one. I stamped again on six different colors of dotted patterned paper and fussy cut just the flower from each one, and paper-pieced the flower onto the main element. I layered black panels underneath and on top of patterned paper matching the flower. I rounded two corners on the card bases and all the layered elements, then added an inspirational phrase and some white Crystal Drops to each one.

love you

Hello, crafty peeps! Happy Thursday and happy first day of February, the month of love! A new challenge over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog is underway this morning and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #106 – I Love You! We’re being sponsored this month by STAMPlorations so be sure to link up with us for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate! AND all challenge participants have the opportunity to save 15% on their STAMPlorations order by using the discount code LOVETOSCRAP15 — how awesome is that?!

I chose the Funny Kinda Love – Big Grins stamp set and CUTplorations Clustered Hearts die to create a valentine for my hubby. I absolutely LOVE this stamp set – the sentiments are funny and really hit ‘close to home’ as I find myself dealing with early stages of senility.

2018_01060002a

Ed has a great sense of humor and will love this! I created an inlaid die cut on the panel above the stamped and colored image and layered the panel on foam. I wanted some valentine-y love kind of stuff on the card but not overdone, so I used red dotted paper and added a few white flat-back pearls and a doily.

2018_01060003a

I decorated the inside panel with a leftover strip of the dotted paper used on the front. I stamped a simple sentiment and a heart on the panel and layered it on red cardstock.

One final look… I love how this turned out!

A little note

Hello, my crafty friends! Thanks for hanging with me this morning – the first of the month is always busy, lol! Our first challenge of the new year goes live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #105 – Anything Goes! We’re being sponsored this month by the very awesome CAS-ual Friday Stamps so be sure to come on over and play!

I created a get well card as I don’t have nearly enough of them in my stash. The lovely Michele, owner of CAS-ual Friday Stamps, provided each of us with a stamp set of our choice, and I chose Pretty Posies to create with. I absolutely L-O-V-E this stamp set!

2017_12300004a

I did a lot of masking to create this corner cluster of posies. I quickly colored the blooms with water-based markers, as my original plan was to watercolor. As I was setting my space up to watercolor, I started thinking about the possibility of having to re-do all the masking if the watercoloring didn’t work out. I’m such a novice. So I changed my mind about the watercoloring since I made myself so nervous, and added some sparkle overlay marker instead, lol! Hindsight is always 20/20 and I wish I had gone ahead used my Spectrum Noir markers for that ‘wow’ color factor. So you’ll be seeing more of this stamp set! ;)

2017_12300005a

I took an angled shot in hopes that you could see the sparkle! ;)

2017_12300006a

I kept the inside fairly simple with a strip of black cardstock and a stamped sentiment.

Let It Snow card trio

Hi everyone! Happy December 1st! Can you believe this is the last month of this year?! A new challenge is launching this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #104 – Winter Wonderland! Our sponsors this month are Bugaboo Digi Stamps, Pickled Potpourri and DRS Designs, so come on over and play with us for a chance to win an amazing prize! I created a set of three adorable CAS snowman cards which completes my Christmas card stash this year!

2017_11220004aa

These were super simple and consist of a snowman image, a snowflake, a patterned paper strip and a sentiment.

2017_11220005a

I colored all the snowman blocks with Spectrum Noir markers in wintery blues and fussy cut them all. I embellished the ‘frames’ around each with white gloss Crystal Drops.

2017_11220006a

I printed the sentiment (also included with the images) three times and cut them with a fishtail sentiment strip. I added a snowflake die cut to each card.

2017_11220007a

I kept the inside super simple with just a stamped sentiment.

2017_11220009a

Here’s a final shot of all three cards together. I just love how these turned out!

Best Wishes

Hi everyone! Happy Hump Day! Thanks for hanging in there with me this morning as I showcase all my first-of-the-month projects, lol! A new challenge has launched over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #103 – Anything Goes! We are being sponsored this month by Limited Runs Stamps, Star Stampz and Little Blue Button Stamps so come on over and play with us for a chance to win a prize!

I chose the absolutely adorable Panda Balloon digi from Star Stampz for my birthday card. I stuck with a basically neutral color scheme with just a pop of color on this semi-CAS card.

2017_10280001a

I used some of my favorite stitched dies to cut some coordinating papers which I angled underneath the layered image. I added a few rhinestones and some Nuvo Crystal Drops, and called her pretty, lol! Very happy with how this turned out!

2017_10280002a

I kept the inside fairly simple as I usually do, and just stamped a sentiment on the inside panel and layered it on black cardstock.
