You make my heart melt

** 3/8/17 Top 3 at Christmas at Sweet Stampin’! **

Hi everyone! You’ll remember about a week ago I shared that I’m guesting for Jingle Belles this fortnight. My theme is Let the Flakes Fall Where They May and my challenge to you is to create a project that includes snow – snowflakes, snowmen, snowy landscape, etc. Well, I’m  back with a CAS mid-challenge project and it really doesn’t get any easier than this!

This adorable card was created with a scrap – the bottom portion of a 12 x 12 sheet that was leftover from a Christmas project. I cut it down, stamped the greeting and layered it on red cardstock.

I used a Marvy Uchida Snow marker on the snowflakes. First time I’ve used it and OMG – I love this stuff! You ‘write’ with it and then hit it with your heat tool, and watch it poof up! What fun! :D

I decorated the inside with the last remaining strip of that snowmen scrap (yep, I used it ALL), stamped the greeting with a snowflake and layered the panel on the red cardstock. I really am loving how this turned out! It always amazes me how something so simple can pack such a big punch! ;)

‘Tis the Season

Hi everybody! I’m super stoked to share that I’m guesting for Jingle Belles this fortnight! How awesome is that?! Really looking forward to crafting with Lauren and Stef, and knocking a couple Christmas cards out of the way! The theme I’ve chosen is Let the Flakes Fall Where they May – we’d like to see your projects include snow – in the form of snowflakes, snowmen, snowy landscape, etc. You get the picture! ;)

First up is a twisted gate fold. Anybody who knows me knows that I’m a fancy fold addict. This is one of the coolest folds I think I’ve ever seen – another thanks to Splitcoast Stampers for including the tutorial in a newsletter a few weeks back. And pardon the clear rod on the left side of the first photo… the card wasn’t cooperating and would not lie flat while I was taking the photographs. ;)

I chose the snowy theme because I’m yearning for some ‘real’ winter weather. We’ve been intermittently running our air conditioning here in north Florida. I loved using the snowflake paper and layering it on the cool blue colors of cardstock. At least I can have some imaginary winter, lol!

I adhered snowflake sequins to the layered sentiment circle on the front and also on the inside just beneath the sentiment.

Here’s one final shot. So much fun! I really love this fold! ;)
