Vintage Floral Embellishments & ATCs

6/14/20 DT Favorite at World Wide Open Design Team Monthly Challenge!

Howdy friends! I hope you’re having a Happy Friday! I’m super stoked to share my Ephemoire inspiration project with you this morning. If you haven’t already done so, be sure to head over to the Ephemoire Etsy Shop to check out all the amazing digital printables… there are collage sheets, digital papers, journal kits, clip art and mixed media printables, and the print quality is awesome! This is my last post for the Ephemoire Dream Team and I thank Traci and the rest of the crew for having me along for the past 13 months. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself and it has been such an honor to design with Traci’s gorgeous printables!

I was provided the Heirloom Roses 1″ Circles Collage Sheet to play with this month which I paired with the Vintage Floral 2″ Circles Collage Sheet from my stash to create a couple different kinds of crafty embellishments… domes and buttons! How fun is that?!

For the domes, I printed the 1″ circle collage sheet on 60# Hammermill copy paper and punched out each one with a 1″ circle punch. I adhered a 1″ plain white cardstock circle on the back of each 1″ floral circle and then added a clear epoxy dome over the top of each to create pretty floral embellishments.

For the buttons, I printed the 2″ circle collage sheet on Grafix shrink film and punched out each circle with a 1-3/4″ circle punch. I punched two holes in the center of each 2″ circle with my Big Bite to create the button holes and heated them with my heat tool to shrink them.

I also created some more ATCs for my collection using the gorgeous Vintage Floral Art Cards printable along with the Word Stripz 1 Card and Craft Sentiments, all from my stash. I think I’ve mentioned that I have become an ATC addict, lol!

2020_0421028

I printed the floral art cards on Classic Linen Solar White cardstock and then cut them apart leaving a tiny bit of a white edge. I cut the ATC bases from 110# Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and ran a black marker around the edge of each. I cut eight one-word sentiments that I wanted to use from the sentiment sheet and ran a black marker around the edge of each of those as well. I adhered a sentiment to each floral panel and then a floral panel to each ATC base. Here are shots of each card:

I’m totally loving how these embellishments and ATCs turned out! Can’t wait to use the domes and buttons on some projects, and the ATCs look absolutely amazing in my collector’s notebook! And you guessed it… I’m probably not going to trade any of these ATCs either, lol! ;)

Vintage Mugshot ATCs

Hiya, peeps! I hope you’re having a good day!

I just acquired the Vintage Mugshots printables for my stash and I’m so in love with them! I laughed literally the entire time I was creating this massive set of ATCs for my collection! The offenses include larceny, indecent exposure, false pretenses and thief, lol! Hope none of these offenders are distant relatives! Bahahahaha!

2020_0421018

I printed the mugshots on 60# Hammermill copy paper, cut them apart and distressed the edges with walnut stain distress ink. I cut the cards from 100# kraft cardstock and distressed the edges with the walnut stain distress ink before adhering the mugshots to them. No embellishments. Super easy. Here are shots of each card:

Paris, Whimsical Heart & Sewing ATCs

Hello, my crafty friends! I hope you’re having a good day! I’m excited to share my Ephemoire inspiration project with you this morning. If you haven’t already done so, be sure to head over to the Ephemoire Etsy Shop to check out all the amazing digital printables… there are collage sheets, digital papers, journal kits, clip art and mixed media printables, and the print quality is awesome!

This week I finally got around to organizing all the ATCs I’ve been making over the past year and a half (while on an ATC design team) into an album and realized that I might have a slight addiction, lol! I’d love to add a few more to my collection, so I decided to make a variety of both cards and coins for my Ephemoire inspiration project this month. I dug into my personal journal kit stash and printed various papers and accessories from Lavande et Peridot Journal Kit, Whimsical Heart Journal Kit and Vintage Sewing Journal Kit to create these 12 ATCs.

I created these Paris coins with papers and elements from the Lavande et Peridot Journal Kit and embellished them with a gold Posca paint pen. I added some shimmer to the dragonfly with a Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.

I used elements from the Lavande et Peridot Journal Kit to create these Paris cards, and distressed them with walnut stain distress ink- going from light to medium to heavy distressing.

These Whimsical Heart cards were created with papers and elements from the Whimsical Heart Journal Kit. I distressed these with black soot distress ink and attached the tickets with tiny staples.

The final set of Sewing cards and coin were created with papers and elements from the Vintage Sewing Journal Kit. I collaged these with various sewing elements, and distressed them with black soot distress ink.

One more look at the sets… the papers and elements in these journal kits were so much fun to work with, and it’s always cool to think ‘outside the box’ and create something totally different than the intended use! I see lots and lots more ATCs in my future to add to my collection – they are fun to keep in an album and fun to trade! However, I warn you… I’m not willing to part with a few of them, lol! ;)

All Occasion Spring Floral Note Cards

Hello, my peeps! Happy Saturday – I hope you have a great weekend planned! I’m delighted to share my Ephemoire inspiration project with you this morning. If you haven’t already done so, be sure to head over to the Ephemoire Etsy Shop to check out all the amazing digital printables… there are collage sheets, digital papers, journal kits, clip art and mixed media printables, and the print quality is awesome!

I was provided Ephemoire Sapphire Spring Floral letter-size digital papers, Crafty Sentiments #1 and Crafty Sentiments #2 to play with this month and created a pretty set of all occasion note cards. OMG, I love how these turned out – check out these blues and greens!

2020_02140016

I used a shaped card die set to create these cards. The card bases were cut from an array of blue and green cardstock using the largest die in the set. I cut all the card front panels from the gorgeous Sapphire Spring Floral letter-size digital papers using the next smaller size die. Then, using that same size die, I cut plain white panels from 60# Hammermill copy paper for the insides of the cards, leaving plenty of room to write a custom message.  I always print the Ephemoire digitals on this Hammermill paper because the heavier-weight copy paper yields very nice print quality and sturdy printed papers and elements.

I printed a variety of sentiments from the new Crafty Sentiments digital files (also on the Hammermill copy paper), cut them in strips and added them to the front panels. To finish off the cards, I punched small flowers from matching cardstock which I embellished with a tiny white flat-back pearl.

And here’s one more look… I’m so smitten with these papers I can’t even stand it! Traci never disappoints with her products!

Painted Poppies Boxed Set

Hello, my crafty friends! I hope you’re having a good Hump Day!

I was provided Painted Poppies #1, Painted Poppies #2 and Painted Poppies #3 letter size digital papers to create with this month, and created a pretty boxed set of 12 thank you cards. A friend and former co-worker reached out to request a dozen thank you cards, and I had already had my eye on these papers so I knew exactly what I wanted to do. ;)

2020_01110019a

Before I get into the details of my project, I have to share my latest light box visitor… Tigger! I was busy taking photos of the cards and before I knew it, Tigger jumped in and tried to get into that little card box. Oh yes he did, lol! Luckily I was able to get the box (and cards) out of the light box before he crushed it, and snapped a photo of him with his tongue out! Bahahaha, that’s our boy! ** I’ve updated this post with a couple more pics of Tigger without his tongue out so you can see how handsome he really is! ;) **

Okay, let me get back on track here… I created a flip-top box that coordinates with the set of cards. I fussy cut a couple pieces of a poppy and made it dimensional with foam pads and added it to the left side of the lid over top of the gold mirror cardstock strip. All the card fronts are layered on brown bag kraft, so I layered the box lid panels on brown bag as well and I covered the inside of the box with the brown bag.

And here are shots of all the cards in pairs. These papers are literally breath-taking and I used almost all of them. A while back I found the perfect 60# Hammermill copy paper to print on which really ramps up these digital prints. ;)

And one more look at the closed box. The strip of gold mirror cardstock makes them look so elegant and I know my friend is going to love them as much as I do!

Purse & Cards Gift Set

1/22/20 Winner at Creative Moments!

Hello, my crafty friends! I hope you’re having an awesome day!

I was provided Art Memories #1 and Art Memories #2 letter-sized digital papers to play with this month, and created a pretty purse gift bag filled with 20 cards. What a fun project – and a gift that keeps on giving, lol! Whoever receives this gift set will be able to re-use the gift bag once all the birthday cards have been used. ;)

2019_1213023aa.jpg

I used the blue damask type print for the purse, and added paper flowers, a pearl spray and some bamboo cord tied in a bow to the front. I used pearl brads attached to punched squares at the base of the handles.

There are five papers in each of the two collections so I created two cards with each paper. The birthday sentiment was computer-generated, punched with an oval punch and adhered to a fishtail strip.

Here’s one more look at the set… I’m very pleased with how this turned out! Now to decide who gets it… hmmmmm… ;)

Christmas Memories mini album

Hello, crafty peeps!

I was provided some pretty awesome vintage Christmas holiday background papers to play with this month and used all 20 letter-sized digital papers in Peppermint Stick #1, Peppermint Stick #2, Peppermint Stick #3 and Peppermint Stick #4 to create a sweet little mini album! OMG, talk about some prissy fun – and in one of my favorite color combos of pink and green! Swoon! ;)

2019_1019031a

I printed all 20 papers on 60# copy paper, trimmed them and then paired what I wanted to use for backgrounds and for pockets on each page. I cut the scalloped album pages with my Scan N Cut and then bound them with my Zutter Bind It All. I picked out a variety of pink and green ribbons and cut several lengths from each to attach to the binding (and tags later on).

2019_1019017a

I created a shaker element for the front with glitter inside. I typed the sentiment on the computer and cut it along with the acetate and frame with stitched circle dies, then attached a small bow.

2019_1019018a
2019_1019029a

I created my own stitched square cut file that I used to cut the background layers with my Scan N Cut, and then cut three different pocket designs with my Scan N Cut. I embellished each pocket with Washi Tape.

Finally, I cut simple tags from textured double-sided cardstock and added punched scallop detail at the bottom of each one. I adhered a plain square panel for journaling and/or photos, and attached some ribbon with my Tiny Attacher before tucking them into the pockets.

Hi friends! I hope you’re having an awesome weekend! I’m super stoked to share another Ephemoire inspiration project with you this month. If you haven’t already done so, be sure to head over to the Ephemoire Etsy Shop to check out all the amazing digital printables… there are collage sheets, digital papers, journal kits, clip art and mixed media printables, and the print quality is awesome!

As mentioned in my post earlier this morning, I was provided Is It Autumn Yet #1 to play with this month. Well, I was also provided Is It Autumn Yet #2, Is It Autumn Yet #3 and Is It Autumn Yet #4 letter size digi papers, and using all four collections, I created an Autumn-themed stationery box that holds six cards and envelopes, six tags, three trifold notelets with belly bands, a lined book, a postage stamp pocket and a pen. This is the second stationery box I’ve made and I thoroughly enjoyed it! This version was highlighted in a Splitcoast Stampers newsletter a couple years ago HERE and I’m so glad I bookmarked it!

2019_09080011a

Before I show you the contents, here are some shots of the outside of the box. It’s amazing to me how much fits in this box! ;)

Now for the fun stuff! Here is the lined book that can be used to record birthdays, addresses or whatever your heart desires, a pocket for postage stamps, and a handy-dandy pen! I attached the book with two small velcro circles on the back side so it can be removed to add extra pages when necessary, and the next pic shows the extra pages I included. ;)

Here are the six cards with envelopes, three birthday and three thank you.

And another shot of the set. I’m super happy with how this turned out! The digital papers in these four sets are just amazing and would do ANY project justice! Swoon and drool! LOL!

Of course, these will hold a place of honor in my paper shoe collection! I’ve had this high heel shoe template in my stash for a number of years. I really love the shoe’s elegance and had a hard time picking just one paper from this collection to make it. I settled on the golden color print and so glad I did. I had small paper flowers in my stash that match perfectly! ;)

I designed the clutch myself from cardstock, covered it in the golden print paper, and added a couple flowers. It’s not quite big enough for a gift card (would have been too large in comparison to the shoe), but a folded check or money will easily fit into the pouch. It has a small velcro closure.

One more look… super happy with how this project turned out! Love, love, love ALL the digital papers in this collection – they are absolutely gorgeous!
