Happy Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone! Welcome to the middle of March… can you believe it?! I’m telling ya… it’ll be Christmas before we know it, lol! A new challenge went live on March 1st over at Your Scrapbook Place (yep, I’m still a guestie!) and I’m stoked to share my mid-month GD inspiration project for our March Challenge with The Paper Nest Dolls! Come on over and play!

2018_0226007a

I chose the adorable Flower Cart Avery digi to create my double flap fancy fold birthday card! OMG, I’m so smitten… I L-O-V-E this image! Isn’t she just the cutest?!

2018_0226005a

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers to coordinate as best I could with the colors in the paper and adhered it to the front flap, and stamped a birthday sentiment in black ink.

2018_0226006a

I stamped another sentiment inside the front flap…

2018_0226008a

…and then a flower image and another sentiment on the inside flap. Even though there is a ribbon closure, I added a velcro circle to keep the front flap closed. I love how this turned out and see a few more in my future, lol!

living my dream

Hi everyone! You’re going to see a few posts from me this fine Thursday morning, lol! I’m still guesting for Your Scrapbook Place and I’m excited to share my GD project for the February Challenge with Scribbles Designs! I created a fun friendship step card. It’s been a little while since I created this fancy fold which I thought would compliment the adorable Carrie Summer Diva image fairly well! How sassy is she?!

2017_01290009a

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers, cut her with a stitched rectangle die and layered her on black and green which are colors in the patterned paper. I broke out a new package of American Crafts die cut shapes and zeroed in on some sunglasses and the ‘living my dream’ sentiment which were perfect for this image! ;) I added a few clear rhinestones to finish the front.

2017_01290010a

I used a new Neat & Tangled stamp set for the sentiment on the inside of the card.

Say Cheese

Hi everyone! Happy New Year! And here I am with my first post of 2018! And it couldn’t be with a cuter image, lol! Holley over at Your Scrapbook Place twisted my arm so hard that I just couldn’t resist continuing my guest designer gig this month, especially with SheepSki Designs sponsoring! How about Rudolph’s Mischief… isn’t he the cutest?!

2017_12180001a

I created a window shaker card with the image on the inside of the card base. I got out my Fuse Tool and created a pouch to put all the shaker bits in and sandwiched it between two layers of cardstock on the front.

2017_12180002a

Here’s a shot of it completely opened up so you can see the construction. A little different than the traditional shaker card. Fun, fun, fun!

2017_12180003a

Rudolph is definitely cheesin’ with some of the whitest and shiniest teeth around, thanks to Glossy Accents, lol! And I created some ‘fur’ on his hat with a Snow Marker!

2017_12180004a

And one final look… he’s so adorable! ;)

Best fishes

Hello, crafty peeps! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Your Scrapbook Place and I’m happy to share my GD inspiration project for the December with Christina Hor challenge using the Christina Hor ‘Coral Life’ image. This is my last guest design project for Your Scrapbook Place, and I’d like to thank Holley and the rest of the gang for having me along for the past several months! I’ve had a blast!

2017_11220002a

This is a fantastic image and as soon as I laid eyes on it, I knew what kind of card I wanted to create. One with an aperture to view the image through. :)

2017_11220001a

I cut a rectangle with rounded corners through the front of the card base and then a slightly larger one through the patterned paper, lined them up and trimmed the edges. I stamped the sentiment in the lower left corner.

2017_11220003a

I lined the colored image up with the aperture and affixed it to the inside of the card. I’m really tickled with how this turned out. So simple but yet packs a great punch!

Hi everyone! Well, it’s November 1st and that means a few posts from me this morning, lol! I’m guest designing again this month over at Your Scrapbook Place and I’m stoked to share my GD inspiration project for the November Anything Goes challenge going live this morning! I created a fun sparkly meowy Christmas card! Hubby and I are ‘crazy cat people’ and this image is one of my favorites from The East Wind which is this month’s sponsor! Come on over and play with us!

2017_10280010a

I used my favorite stitched dies and angled the die cuts. I attached the focal image with tiny staples and added some Dot Sparklers in each corner.

2017_102800011a

I pulled out the fun Snow Marker for the pom-poms on his collar which added some great dimension!

2017_102800012a

I had the purrfect stamp set in my stash to go with this image, so I put it to good use, lol! Love how this turned out!

** 10/15/17 Top 3 at Monochrome Magic! **

Hello, my crafty friends! Happy October 1st… can you believe it?! Only two and a half more months and the jolly fellow in the red suit will be sliding down our chimneys, lol! I’m still guesting over at Your Scrapbook Place and I’m happy to share my GD project for the October Anything Goes challenge going live this morning. We’re being sponsored by the Ike’s Art this month so come on over and play!

I chose the gorgeous Rose Stitch image for my thank you card. This is one of those images that doesn’t even need to be colored, which made the monochromatic black and white color scheme come to life rather quickly. I cut the image with a stitched scallop square die and popped it up on black Foamies foam.

2017_09210001a

I just got the Sunny Studio Cute As A Button stamp and die set and what a perfect compliment to this amazing image! I love it when that happens, lol! I stamped the sentiment in black, die cut a couple buttons and a needle, and adhered them around the image.

2017_09210002a

I created a matching panel for the inside and stamped the sentiment. This was a super fun and easy card, and I’m really loving how it turned out!

Let it Snow

Hi everyone! I’m back yet again this morning, this time to showcase a guest designer project for the September Anything Goes challenge over at Your Scrapbook Place! One of my cards was a winner a few weeks back and the lovely Holley invited me to be a guestie for the next several challenges! Of course, I couldn’t say no, lol! We are being sponsored this month by Pickled Potpourri and I created a Double Fun Fold using the Christmas Window image. OMG, I’m so smitten! This was great fun! I was very happy to have Santa and his reindeer in my rubber stamp stash to compliment the image.

2017_08140001a

The focal image on the front opens to the right to reveal a stamped sentiment on the tall panel beneath.

2017_08140002a

Then the tall panel opens upward to reveal yet another stamped sentiment and cozy cabin image! How cute is this fold?! Love, love, love! Thanks, Dawn, for the inspiration! <3

Deck the halls with ugly sweaters!

Hi everyone! Happy May 1st! Can you believe it?! As you’ll see by the next several posts later on this morning, I’ve been a busy little bee, lol! I’m proud to share that I’m a guestie over at Your Scrapbook Place this month! I was ecstatic when the lovely Holley contacted me, and of course, I said yes!

Our sponsor this month is Limited Runs Stamps and I chose the most adorable ‘Ugly Sweater Good Snowman’ digital image to create my wobble card. It’s been a while since I used a wobble element and they are so much fun – I just couldn’t resist using one with this sweater! I chopped off the bottom of the front flap of the card base at an angle and covered it with TH Melange Tissue Wrap, then added some torn paper and some burlap. The main sentiment is stamped ‘inside’ the angle.

2017_04300018a

When I colored the sweater, I tried my hardest to make it look like it was pilled. I added Crystal Clear Sparkle marker and then Glossy Accents on the snowman. Then my hubby threw in his two cents and told me to add as much ‘stuff’ as I could, to make it as ugly as I could, lol! So, on went the snowflake sequins with green flat-back pearls, then the blingy red Dot Sparklers around the neck, sleeves and waist.

2017_04300019a

You can’t see the wobble element, but it’s there underneath. So much fun to just flick the sweater with your finger and watch it wobble, lol! Did I say how much fun I had making this card?! ;)

2017_04300021a

For the inside, I stamped a simple cozy sentiment on a piece of white layered on the kraft card base. Despite the ‘ugly’ factor, I’m loving how this turned out! ;)
