8/1/20 Top 3 at Crafty Friends Challenge Blog!
Hello again, friends! I’m back with the other card I finished up yesterday afternoon for The Outlawz Challenges. It’s been a while since I’ve made a shaker card so I figured it was about time because they are SO fun! I’m entering this into the Festive Fridays Challenge where our sponsor this month is Fred She Said and the themes to choose from are Summer, Celebrations, Child Birthday or Christmas. I chose Child Birthday in hybrid form with digital and clear stamping.
I created the card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and rounded the lower right corner. I used bright and cheerful birthday papers from one of my favorite paper pads. I colored the image with alcohol markers and cut it with a circle die. I also cut the craft plastic with the same die and then cut a frame with that die and one slightly smaller. Using those two dies, I cut another ‘frame’ from teal craft foam to adhere beneath the pink cardstock frame. I love the colored foam to peek out from the edge of a frame or image! The shaker filler is a mixture of Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow Seed Beads and Confetti.
I embellished the inside panel with a leftover strip of the striped paper and the pink cardstock used on the front, and stamped the sentiment in Ranger picked raspberry archival ink. I colored the tiny stars in the sentiment with Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.
And one more peek… so stinkin’ cute I can’t stand it! I think our middle granddaughter will love this for her birthday in October! ;)
