Hi everyone! Can you believe it’s the last day of February already?! I’m telling you, it’ll be Christmas again before we know it! ;) Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’ve popped in today to share an awesome Tape Runner DT inspiration project! I created a pretty encouragement card in navy blue and pale pink, another one of my favorite color combos, and of course, all panels were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner. I’m donating this card to the Bearly Arts Cards for Cubs project, and encouragement is one of the themes requested, so here we are!

As mentioned above, all panels were adhered with Retractable Tape Runner. Wet glue was used only to adhere the sentiment and the narrow strips. I cut a standard A2 size card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and rounded the bottom right corner. I also cut a blue layering panel from CutCardStock Royal Sundance Linen Midnight Blue and a narrow strip from CutCardStock Curious Metallic Pink Quartz cardstock and adhered them to the card base. I had a STAMPlorations Blue Blooms ATC in my stash that was part of a Paper Goods sampler included with one of my orders a while back, so I rounded the bottom right corner and adhered it to the card front, popping it up on the right side with thin double-sided 3-D foam squares so it’s even with the cardstock panel and strip on the left side. Using the STAMPlorations Believe word die, I die cut the sentiment from the pink quartz cardstock and adhered it in a vertical fashion on the left side of the ATC. The finishing touch was adding three Eyelet Outlet pink enamel dots.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of CutCardStock Curious Metallic Pink Quartz cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Altenew Painted Butterflies stamp set in Catherine Pooler Juniper Mist ink and layered the panel on CutCardStock Royal Sundance Linen Midnight Blue cardstock.

And one more look… so happy with how this turned out! I do love the color combo, and I love the secure assembly with this awesome Tape Runner!

1/31/21 DT Favorite Winner at Classic Design Challenge Blog!

Hi everyone! I hope your first week of the New Year has been a good one! I’m absolutely thrilled to share that I’m once again guesting for Scrapping4fun Challenges! One of my projects was a Featured Creation last month and I was offered a guest design spot in Challenge #183 – Anything Goes, so here I am! Polkadoodles is our sponsor for this challenge and I have lots of their digital products in my stash, so I dug into the Winnie White Christmas Big Kahuna Download Kit for the image and papers I wanted to use for this front step card which is one of my favorite fun folds!

I created the card base from Papertrey Ink Simply Chartreuse cardstock. I printed three coordinating Polkadoodles digital papers, a round element, two merged pre-colored images and two sentiments on HP 32# copy paper and trimmed them. I layered the focal image on gold foil cardstock and set it aside. I adhered panels cut from the three digital papers to the card base and then adhered the focal image and a layered sentiment to the front along with three 8mm green cut jewels across the bottom.

I embellished the back panel with a leftover strip of the plaid paper and the round element that I punched with a 1-1/4″ circle punch, and layered the panel on the plain green paper.

And one more look… totally loving this fold! It’s easy to adjust the measurements if necessary (I made this one a little taller to accommodate the focal image) and it folds flat for mailing!

Hello, my friends! A very happy Tuesday to you! I have a super fun card to share with you today – another website sample I created for Prickley Pear Stamps! This one is a tag card with diagonal double pockets! My inspiration came from… you guessed it… another Splitcoast Stampers newsletter outlining this tutorial HERE. You know me – I’m a total fun fold geek, always on the look-out for another one to try! I used the adorable Santa Koala and Mrs Claus clear stamp set for the tags on this card.

I used some pretty double-sided Christmas paper from my stash to create the card base, and added a red glitter die cut sentiment to the front. I cut two tags from ivory cardstock and embellished them with more of the papers from the same Christmas paper pack. I stamped the images on white cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers, and fussy cut them all. The coordinating dies weren’t available yet when I was gifted this stamp set, but they are now! I adhered the stamped and cut images to the tags, stamped a sentiment at the bottom of each tag and added some green crafter’s cord.

This card does not open, so I cut a panel for the back, embellished it with a coordinating paper and a thin strip of red cardstock, and stamped the sentiment in black ink. I had one leftover stamped and cut element so I adhered it to the panel and layered the panel on red cardstock.

And one more peek… so happy with how this turned out! These koalas are so stinkin’ cute I can’t stand it! ;)

7/1/20 Top 5 at QKR Stampede!

Hi everyone! I’m baaack! Yep, you guessed it… with another card created for The Outlawz Challenges, lol! I’ve had such a good time cranking them out over the past couple days! This one is for the Tuesday Color Challenge where our sponsor this month is SheepSki Designs so be sure to come over and play! The colors for this challenge are black and white plus one color of choice – with a twist of stripes!

I used black and white striped cardstock for my background which I layered on black cardstock. I colored the SheepSki Designs Wild Roses digital image in shades of green. Green is my all-time favorite color and I thought it looked fabulous on the black and white!

I used a coloring technique that I haven’t used in years – Gamsol with colored pencils. I thoroughly enjoyed this and had forgotten how much fun it was… so much so that I used it on another project the same day, lol! I used a digital sentiment which I layered on several pieces of cardstock, trimmed and placed in the bottom right corner. I completed the front with some randomly placed white flat-back pearls.

I embellished the inside panel with a strip of the black and white striped cardstock, added a digital sentiment, and layered the panel on the black cardstock.

And one more look… totally loving this color combo!

Hi everyone! Well, this weekend is about over – hope you’ve had a fun one! This month’s challenge is live over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #41 – December Anything Goes! I created an awesome Christmas card to add to my stash featuring the amazing Tim Holtz Ice Skates die. I absolutely love this die and CASE’d my own design from a few months back that I created for another design team. If you’re interested, you can see it HERE.

2019_08170035a

I used a pretty plaid embossing folder for the background and lightly sanded it while it was still in the folder. I added red glitter Washi Tape and gold Skinny Washi Tape, along with two shiny red Candi Minis and two awesome Tim Holtz ice skate die cuts. I lightly inked the edges of the ice skates to make them look worn, colored the heels black and painted the blades with a silver metallic paint marker, and laced them up with cord. I cut three ivory ‘believe’ die cuts and one red die cut for a tone-on-tone look, and layered them all together.

2019_08170036a

I embellished the inside panel with a leftover strip of red cardstock and stamped the inside sentiment which is from Unity Stamps.
