Hi everyone! A very Happy Saturday to you – I hope you’ve had a great week! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a super fun Envelope Box Card featuring our Bumble Bee Brads and Pink Jewel Bling! I love my Scan N Cut and I always cut several projects when I take it out of the cabinet for a crafty session, and this card was one from the latest batch. I really enjoyed this!

I cut the base from CutCardStock Basis Navy cardstock, and the rest of the pieces from CutCardStock Basis White cardstock, CutCardStock Basis Gold cardstock, CutCardStock Basis Magenta cardstock CutCardStock Basis Black cardstock, CutCardStock Dolphin cardstock and Colorbok Seeing Dots cardstock. Then the fun began of assembling the card! I added the sentiment using die cut letters and some Pink Jewel Bling. I added several Bumble Bee Brads and then added more Pink Jewel Bling to the flowers.

Here’s a shot from another angle.

And one more peek… so loving how this turned out! I can’t say enough about all the fun products at Eyelet Outlet! They really bring a project to life!

Hi everyone! I’m having a hard time with how fast this year is flying by… it’s July 1st already – how did that happen?! It’s time for another fun technique challenge over at Mix It Up Challenge Blog and I’m really excited to share my mixed media friendship card for MIUCB #3 – Anything Goes + Distressing. Our challenges always have an optional technique twist to get you inspired! The distressing – if you decide to include it – can be ink or tool. I did a little of both on my project! :)

Leslie

I had the best time picking out the papers and ephemera I wanted to use. I also got a piece of black ric-rac, an index clip and a doily. I distressed each paper piece with either Black Soot distress ink or tool (or both), then did a ‘dry run’ with all the layers.

Once I had everything where I wanted, I started adhering the pieces, some with dimensional foam tape and some without, then adhered the entire piece to the card base. I added some black Twinkle Goosebumps and a few dots of Mustard Seed Crystal Drops.

The last step involved splattering black Gesso mixed with water, and when that dried, I added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins (my favorite!).

I decorated the inside panel with leftover strips of paper from the front, all distressed as well, and then stamped the sentiment and a bee. Love, love, love!
