Three Favorite 2022 Eyelet Outlet Projects

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday – I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and you’re looking forward to a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year! I can’t believe how quickly 2022 flew by! I’m thrilled to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today sharing my three favorite projects created this year with Eyelet Outlet products! This is a different kind of post because all three of these projects have already been showcased on my blog – we’re continuing a fun tradition that the owner and DT leader started late last year! I’m a periodic guest designer these days (since May) and was delighted to have been asked to participate.

I love fun folds and Christmas is my favorite holiday, so it’s no surprise that two of my three projects are Christmas cards and two are fun folds created with my Scan N Cut! The first fav in the line-up is my Merry Christmas Cardinals card featuring our Cardinal Brads, Cardinal Profile Brads, Female Cardinal Brads and Clear Jewel Bling Strips.

The card in the number two spot is my Happy Father’s Day Lantern. This box card folds flat for mailing and features our Deer Brads, Pine Tree Brads and Sun/Cloud Brads.

And the final card in the line-up is my Heaven & Nature sing card, a Christmas card in traditional red and gray that features our Cardinal Brads and Cardinal Profile Brads along with Clear Jewel Bling.

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s post even though it’s a bit different than usual. Scrappy hugs,

Christmas Church

Hey everybody! Can you believe we’re almost a week into November already?! Happy Heavenly birthday to my crafty sister who would have been 74 today. I love her and miss her so much. I’m delighted to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today as a guest designer with my final inspiration project showcasing these new brads! This super cute Christmas Church box card features the Caroler Brads and Snow Tree Brads adorned with 3mm Champagne Jewel Bling Strip and a sentiment on the back created with Christmas Holly Washi Tape! And being a box card means it folds flat for mailing!

I cut all the pieces from Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory and CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Antique Gold cardstock. I used a yellow alcohol marker to color the windows.

After assembling the church, I added the Caroler Brads and Snow Tree Brads, and then embellished all three sections with 3mm Champagne Jewel Bling Strips.

This box card has a pull-out element with plenty of room to write a custom message. The final touch was adding a sentiment on the back pocket created with a strip of Christmas Holly Washi Tape applied to a scrap of ivory cardstock, trimmed, and layered on antique gold cardstock.

Scrappy hugs,

Mason Jar Treat Box

Hey everybody! A very Happy Saturday to you! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today as a guest designer with another fun inspiration project! I had a large time playing with my Scan N Cut (as I always did) before the touch screen malfunctioned, and created a mason jar treat box featuring the Santa & Deer Brads along with a sentiment flag created from the Christmas Holly Washi Tape! OMGoodness, I’m so smitten – I LOVE treat boxes!

I cut the pieces from Neenah Classic Linen 100# Solar White, CutCardStock Pop Tone Wild Cherry, and CutCardStock Bright Silver Foil cardstock, assembled the mason jar, and tied green twine around the top.

I applied a strip of Christmas Holly Washi Tape to a scrap piece of 80# Solar White Linen, cut it into a flag, and adhered it to the front of the mason jar. I decided it needed some green, so I adhered very narrow strips of Basis Green around the edges of the flag. I then die cut an oval from 100# Solar White Linen cardstock using the Cottage Cutz Double-Stitched Oval die, added Santa & Deer Brads, and adhered it to the top of the flag with Scrapbook Adhesive 3D Foam Squares.

Here’s one more angled shot. So cute! Wouldn’t it be fun to make several of these for a Christmas dinner table filled with treats?!

Scrappy hugs,

CAS Holiday Spirit

Howdy peeps! I hope you’re having a great weekend and the weather is cooling off some where you live! I’m delighted to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today as a guest designer with a fun inspiration project using more of the new brads in the store! I just LOVE the new Gnome 2 Brads, so I created a super cute clean and simple Christmas card to show them off, and added a little extra pizzazz with the Glitter Red Washi Tape and gemstones from the 4mm Red Jewel Bling Strip!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from 110# Solar White cardstock along with short layering panels cut from two prints in the Doodlebug Design Floral-Graph Rainbow Petite Prints 6×6 cardstock pad, and rounded the bottom right corner of each. I applied a strip of the Glitter Red Washi Tape, stamped the sentiment from the Stampingbella Festive Gnome Sentiments stamp set, and added three Gnome 2 Brads. The finishing touch was adding several gemstones from a 4mm Red Jewel Bling Strip.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock, embellished it with the two Doodlebug Design prints used on the front, and stamped the sentiment from the Trinity Stamps A Sentiment For (Almost) Everything.

Hi everybody! It’s officially the middle of October and I hope you’re having a great weekend! I’m thrilled to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today as a guest designer with a fun inspiration project using some of the new brads in the store! This snowman box card features the new Caroler Brads and Snow Tree Brads along with the Christmas Holly Washi Tape (for the sentiment) that’s already in the store.

I cut the base from Neenah Classic Linen Solar White cardstock, and the rest of the pieces from CutCardStock Silk Glitter Black Prince, Pop Tone Wild Cherry, Pop Tone Hot Fudge, Pop Tone Black Licorice, Pop Tone Lemon Drop and Basis Orange cardstock.

I assembled the box card and added three Caroler Brads and three Snow Tree Brads. I applied a strip of the Christmas Holly Washi Tape to a scrap piece of Solar White cardstock, punched the ‘Merry & Bright’ to use as the sentiment, and layered it on a slightly larger circle punched from Pop Tone Black Licorice cardstock.

Here’s one more angled shot so you can see the construction. And the best part is that it folds flat for mailing! ;)

Hey everybody! Happy Saturday! I hope you’re having a fabulous weekend and you’re doing something fun! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today as a guest designer with a fun inspiration project! I created a super cute Christmas card with a fun slanted flap that features some of the cutest Santa & Deer Brads you’ve ever seen along with Red Snowflake Bling and gemstones from the 3mm Clear Jewel Bling Strip! I mentioned in my post last Saturday that we have some new products in the store, and you need to check them out!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from Doodlebug Design Dot-Stripe Rainbow Petite Prints 6×6 cardstock, and cut the bottom of them off at an angle. I adhered an angled panel at the bottom of the inside flap using a coordinating pattern from the same cardstock pack, and stamped a sentiment from the Stampingbella Festive Gnomes Sentiments stamp set. I created a raised angled element and added Santa & Deer Brads. I embellished the front with Red Snowflake Bling and several 3mm gemstones from a Clear Jewel Bling Strip.

I added one single strip of cardstock at the top of the inside flap, which completed the card.

Scrappy hugs,

Get Well Soon mini slimline

Hi friends! Happy Sunday – here’s to the beginning of another great week! I hope it’s beginning to cool off just a little bit where you are! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today as a guest designer filling in for Janet who is out of town for a couple weeks. I’ve created a pretty get well card featuring our Sunflower Washi Tape, Sunflower Brads, and brown Sequins. I also used some pretty amazing mini slimline and sentiment dies from Kat Scrappiness.

I cut a 3-1/2″ x 6″ mini slimline card base from 110# Solar White cardstock along with four die cut frames using the Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline Tri-Frame Dies which I adhered together. I cut a layering panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and covered it with Sunflower Washi Tape. I added a die cut sentiment created with the Kat Scrappiness Get Well Soon Sentiment with Shadow Die and Basis Gold and Vanilla Bean Brown cardstock. I added a Sunflower Brad and several brown sequins which completed the card front.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Basis Gold and Vanilla Bean Brown cardstock. I embellished the white cardstock panel with a strip of the Sunflower Washi Tape which I trimmed along the flower line. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Sending Smiles stamp set in Catherine Pooler Icing on the Cake ink.

Scrappy hugs,

Life is simple.

Hi everyone! A very Happy Sunday to you – here’s to the beginning of a great week! Today marks the 21st anniversary of the multiple terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in the United States. After all these years, my heart still aches for the families and friends of all those who lost their lives that day. Please take a moment to remember them. Now on to something happy! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today as a guest designer with a fun inspiration project! When I stepped down from the regular team this past May, I agreed to pop in from time to time as a guest designer, either filling in for regular DT members or creating new release samples. Janet is out of town for a couple weeks so you’re seeing me today and will see me again next Sunday! ;) I created a mini slimline retirement card using our Village by the Sea Washi Tape, Wide Wood Washi Tape, Wide Sky Washi Tape and Sun & Cloud Brads! I love creating little scenes on my cards and it was fun watching this one come to life!

I cut a 3-1/2″ x 6″ mini slimline card base from 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from 80# Solar White cardstock which I covered with Wide Sky Washi Tape and Village by the Sea Washi Tape (trimmed along the tops of the buildings). I added a plank created from a narrow strip of 110# Solar White cardstock covered with Wide Wood Washi Tape, and added Sun and Cloud Brads. I stamped the sentiment from the Inspired By Stamping Seaside Sentiments stamp set in StazOn Jet Black ink along with some birds from the Inspired By Stamping Seaside stamp set in black ink.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of CutCardStock Royal Sundance Kraft Fiber cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Ranger Letter It Wedding stamp set in Catherine Pooler Sand Castle ink.
