Season’s Greetings

Hi friends! Top of the morning to you – hope your week is off to a great start! It’s time for a new challenge at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #26 – September Anything Christmas Goes! I created a fun snowglobe card featuring the most adorable Power Poppy digital stamp set. What fun this was to create!

2019_1222021a

I colored the image in bright colors with gold accents. I used Vanilla cardstock so the white paint marker would show up. I also tried to make the base look worn and antique-like. I rounded the two bottom corners of the panel, layered the image on striped paper and then again on red cardstock.

I embellished the inside panel with leftover striped paper and cardstock used on the front, and stamped the sentiment in red ink.

One more peek… really loving how this turned out! Another Christmas card down for my stash! ;)

Season’s Greetings

Hi everyone! Happy Monday and April 1st! It really is Monday and that’s not an April Fool’s joke, lol! Where do the weekends go?! This month’s challenge is live over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #9 – April Anything Christmas Goes. I’m in love with the Impossible Card fold and have created another one, this time in non-traditional Christmas colors with rounded corners and several layers on each panel.

Leslie

I cut a wreath from Lovely Lipstick and Always Artichoke cardstock using one of my Simply Crafty SVGs cut files to use as the focal element. I embellished the bow with a large pink gemstone and placed a few tiny pink Dot Sparklers around the wreath. I hand-cut several flags and layered the flat side of each under a punched image layered on a scalloped circle. I add a couple medium pink gemstones in the lower right corner.

There is no stamping on this card, which is unusual for me, lol! I used a glue pen and glitter to embellish the sentiment and punched images from the paper which really gives them nice shimmer but doesn’t photograph very well. :(

And one final look with the flap pushed forward and the card ready to put into an envelope. I love that it folds flat!

Season’s Greetings

Hi everyone! I’ve had a blast this busy Thursday morning showcasing my design team projects and I appreciate you hanging with me! A new challenge is live over at Gecko Galz and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for the November Jingle All The Way Customer Challenge!

Nov-challenge-badge

I created a retro Christmas card in vintage colors featuring an i mage from Retro Christmas Collage Set as well as scrabble type letters from the Alter It Digital Collage Sheets, and I love how it turned out! I’m kind of vintage myself so anything retro really appeals to me, lol!

2018_08190008a

I sponged a tiny bit of Antique Linen distress ink on the image to distress it a bit, embellished the tree limbs and ornaments with glitter pen, and then layered it on burgundy paper and glitter paper. I created a layered element from a coordinating patterned paper and adhered it to the background, and then layered the image on that. I fussy cut individual scrabble type letters spelling “Season’s” and covered them with Glossy Accents for a little interest, and when they were dry I adhered them vertically under the edge of the image. I used a few glitter gumdrops along the opposite edge.

2018_08190009a

I decorated in the inside with a few leftover strips of gold, burgundy and patterned paper from the front, layered the panel, and then stamped a sentiment.

One more look… very charming if I say so myself! ;)
