Watercolor Poppies

Hi everyone! Happy first day of May! Our May challenge is live this morning over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #22 – May Anything Goes! I got out some Rubbernecker stamps and created a card featuring watercolor stamping on photo paper! OMG, these stamps are amazing! Lots of people can watercolor beautifully… but not me… so I rely on these stamps, lol!

Super fun and easy card. I chose chocolate brown for the card base and layered white and cherry red cardstock panels on it. I die cut some angled stitched border elements on the red panel before adhering them. I stamped the poppies in Spiced Marmalade and Fired Brick distress ink and the stems in Walnut Stain and Espresso Truffle ink on the photo paper, and then cut it with a slightly angled stitched oval die. I affixed the panel to the card front on red foam and added White Gloss Crystal Drops and a tiny red seam ribbon bow.

I decorated the inside with leftover strips of the red and chocolate brown cardstock, then stamped the adorable Winnie the Pooh quote. I am absolutely smitten with this, lol!
