To You From Me

Hi everyone! Well, only nine more sleeps until the jolly man in the red suit makes his appearance, lol! I love the Christmas season more and more every year! Our new sketch challenges this month are live over at Stick It Down and I’ve popped in this morning to share my Card Team inspiration project! Love To Scrap 2 (yours truly, lol!) is once again sponsoring our challenge, so come on over and play for the chance to win a Prize Pack consisting of several items such as stamps, dies, ink, ribbons and/or stickers! The card team is showcasing projects today on the blog and this is our super awesome card sketch this month, created by Melissa:

Dec 2019 card

OMGosh, can you say LOVE this sketch?! I wish I had just half the talent the ladies on our team have for creating these sketches for us! This one is amazing and screamed birthday to me, so I created a fun birthday card.

I created the background from cream and brown Graphic45 papers. I cut ribbon strips and die cut bows from blue, purple and green cardstock. I embellished the center of each bow with a coordinating color gemstone, and placed some slightly smaller gemstones of the same color along the ribbon strips.

I embellished the inside panel with leftover strips of the paper used on the front and layered the inside sentiment on the brown paper. Both the front and inside sentiments are from Stampin’ Up and stamped in brown ink.

And one more peek… loving how this turned out!
