Have yourself a merry little Christmas

Hi friends! Welcome 2023! Sure can’t believe it’s here already… seems like we just rung in 2022! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #48 – Anything Christmas Goes! I used the Hot Off The Press Forest Snow Globe Chipboard Kit as the focal element on this adorable shaker card done in neutrals. I typically don’t use tan and gray together, but this totally works!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock, a layering panel from kraft corrugated paper and four strips of CutCardStock Shadow Gray cardstock in varying widths. I created the focal shaker element using the Hot Off The Press Forest Snow Globe Chipboard Kit, and enhanced the globe with a layered circle frame cut from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Silver cardstock. I colored the tree, rabbit, deer, geese and base with alcohol markers. I sprayed the background with Tattered Angels Pewter Color Wash and flicked silver paint from a Posca silver paint pen over it. Finally, I created snowbanks with layers of Solar White cardstock. I assembled the snow globe and added a pinch of homemade snow mix consisting of Stampin’ Up Snowflake sequins, Neat & Tangled sequins, Spiegelmom Snowy Fields sequins, and Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow Seed Beads. The final step was adding a sentiment from the Concord & 9th Tiny Trees Turnabout Stamp Set stamped in Catherine Pooler Black Jack ink.

I cut the inside panel from Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Silver and Shadow Gray cardstock used on the front. I stamped a sentiment from the Concord & 9th Home for the Holidays stamp set in Catherine Pooler Black Jack ink.

Hi friends! Happy Friday to you all! Hard to believe that the first week of March is almost under our belt! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I won another challenge over at Creative Creases Challenges a couple weeks ago and the lovely Debbie invited me to guest design again. Of course I said yes… you know how I feel about fun folds, lol! This card is my GD inspiration for Creative Creases #27 – Anything Goes with a Fun Fold and features more stamps and dies from Concord & 9th. I absolutely love their Card Stacks Base Dies which create a card base very similar to my open box card design. The Tiny Trees stamps and dies were just begging me to use them, so I stamped the trees in mainly non-traditional Christmas colors and used glitter with clear embossing powder, red embossing powder, enamel dots and tiny gemstones for lots of interest!

Using the Concord & 9th Card Stacks Base Dies, I die cut the card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock and stamped the background and sentiment from the Concord & 9th Tiny Trees Turnabout stamp set in Catherine Poole Tranquil and Do-Si-Do inks. I stamped the trees, pots and stars on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock using a combination of Versamark, then glitter and then clear embossing powder, or Catherine Pooler Do-Si-Do, Serenade, Lime Rickey and Tranquil inks, then Versamark and then clear embossing powder. I die cut them all with the coordinating Concord & 9th Tiny Trees dies, adhered the stars and pots to the trees, and added the enamel dots and gemstones.

Here’s an angled shot. The most fun to me is assembling these kinds of cards and watching them come to life. I know, I say that all the time! :D

And one more peek… this card folds flat for mailing which I love. These tiny trees are so stinkin’ cute!

Hi friends! Happy Fri-YAY – hope you’ve had a great week! And I hope you have something wonderful, fun and safe planned for the weekend! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I’ve created a few more cards for the current challenges over at The Outlawz and am deciding on which ones to enter into what challenges. The hubs had a couple out-of-town doctor appointments this week and my mind has played tricks on me all week long as far as what day of the week it is, even after looking at the calendar, lol! The card I’m sharing with you today is for The Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge and is another super easy one I created with another one of the Creative Craft Products die sets I ordered from Paper Wishes. This one is a double gate fold, which is easy enough to make without a die set, but the cut-outs on the front panels are just so pretty! ;)

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# Natural cardstock and layers from CutCardStock Basis Dark Red cardstock and Hot Off The Press Christmas Memories 6×6 papers.

This card only took about 20 minutes (tops) to make from start to finish. The die set took all the measuring and guesswork out of the equation, and all I had to do was cut the cardstock base, cut the cardstock and paper layers, cut out and mat the sentiment (part of the paper pack), and assemble. Plus no stamping (which is kinda rare for me)! Can’t get any easier than that!

And one more peek… so loving how this turned out! This would make an amazing set of Christmas cards for those special folks on your list!
