thanks note card

Hi everyone! Happy Monday – hope you had a great weekend! Our new sketch challenges this month are live over at Stick It Down and I’ve popped in this morning to share my Card Team inspiration project! Corbett Creations is our sponsor this month so come on over and play for the chance to win a prize! The card team is showcasing projects today on the blog and this is our super awesome card sketch this month, created by Sharon:

Aug 2019 card
I’ll start off by saying I.love.this.sketch. It makes for a beautiful card no matter what papers or elements you use. I used one of my favorite cardstock stacks and created the three narrow panels from a floral print that I layered on a coordinating plaid print. The layered die cut sentiment is from a third print in the stack.

I layered the background and the three narrow panels on brown cardstock. I cut four ‘thanks’ die cuts and stacked them for dimension. I finished the front with a felt butterfly and some pink sequins from my stash.

Since this is a note card, I left the inside blank but did embellish the panel with leftover strips of cardstock used on the front and layered it on the brown cardstock.

One more look… I’m totally in love with this card! I will definitely be using this sketch again!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday – the weekend sure went by fast, lol! June Card sketch 2019

I created a pretty thank you card featuring some new cardstock, several gorgeous coordinating papers, a few die cuts, and spiegelmom scraps Snowy Fields sequins and Rustic Hearts wood veneers.

2019_0607001a

The spiegelmom scraps sequins and wood veneers were a gift and I’m absolutely thrilled to use them in this sketch challenge! She definitely has some awesome products! I used some American Crafts cardstock for the first time (and I’m in love!) to layer under the background paper. I chose several more papers from the Cafe Mediterranean matstack to create the frame, the area inside the frame, and the two strips down the left side. I created the frame and area inside the frame with two Cottage Cutz Double-Stitched Rectangle dies. The thanks sentiment was created with the WPlus9 Hand-Lettered Thanks die (seven die cuts layered on top of each other). The finishing touches were the spiegelmom scraps products.

Since this is a note card, I left the inside blank so there’s plenty of room to write a custom message. I decorated the top of the panel with a leftover strip of paper and cardstock used on the front.

And here’s one more look… I’m so stoked about this card! I love how it turned out and can’t wait to use it or gift it! ;)

thanks note card

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday – sure seems like the weekends go by awfully fast! Whaddaya think?! It’s time for another fun challenge over Stinkin’ Inkers and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for the All Tied Up challenge! We’d love to see your project with twine, ribbon, fibers, etc. I created a pretty thanks note card featuring some twine for the challenge theme along with a strip of pretty floral cardstock, a couple die cuts and some flat-back pearls.

2019_0317009a

This was a simple and fun card to make, and could easily be mass-produced to create four or six to go into a set, as everybody needs thank you cards in their stash! I embellished the butterfly body with Crystal Drops and then added yellow Baby Beads while it was still wet.

I decorated the inside panel with a piece of the floral cardstock used on the front, and left the panel blank to write a custom message.
