thanks note card

Hi everyone! Happy Monday – hope you had a great weekend! Our new sketch challenges this month are live over at Stick It Down and I’ve popped in this morning to share my Card Team inspiration project! Corbett Creations is our sponsor this month so come on over and play for the chance to win a prize! The card team is showcasing projects today on the blog and this is our super awesome card sketch this month, created by Sharon:

Aug 2019 card
I’ll start off by saying It makes for a beautiful card no matter what papers or elements you use. I used one of my favorite cardstock stacks and created the three narrow panels from a floral print that I layered on a coordinating plaid print. The layered die cut sentiment is from a third print in the stack.

I layered the background and the three narrow panels on brown cardstock. I cut four ‘thanks’ die cuts and stacked them for dimension. I finished the front with a felt butterfly and some pink sequins from my stash.

Since this is a note card, I left the inside blank but did embellish the panel with leftover strips of cardstock used on the front and layered it on the brown cardstock.

One more look… I’m totally in love with this card! I will definitely be using this sketch again!

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Stampin’ Up thick and regular Very Vanilla cardstock, The Paper Studio Mirabelle cardstock, American Crafts Chocolate cardstock
Dies/Punches: Simon Says Stamp thanks die
Accessories:  Gemini Junior die cutting machine, Felt butterfly from stash, We R Memory Keepers sequins

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project and will link up with us! Feel free to play along with the double page or single page sketch if you’re a scrapbook layout designer, or the card sketch if you’re a card maker! You have until the end of the month to play and we’d love to see what you create! Be sure to check out all the fun goodies at Corbett Creations! Thanks so much for stopping by today – we’ll see you next time! ;)

Scrappy hugs,

I'm definitely what one could consider a crafting junkie! I love making cards, 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, mini albums and gift bags), mixed media projects, altering items, as well as occasional beading and making jewelry! Fortunately, hubby is very supportive! Life is good! :D

Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment! I love reading them!
