A Million & One Thanks

Hi everyone! Happy September 1st to you all! Hard to believe, I know. Another fun challenge is live over at Craft for the Craic and I’m happy to share my GD inspiration project for the Autumn Colors challenge. This is my last guest project with this wonderful team of Irish ladies. I cannot believe a full year has gone by since the lovely Eithne invited me to join the team as a guest designer. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself and thank them from the bottom of my heart!

I’ve created a Double Gate Fold in lots of autumnal colors. Inspiration for this card came from my friend Dawn. SO MUCH FUN! I absolutely L-O-V-E this fold!

2017_07130037a

These gorgeous double-sided papers and stamps are all from Stampin’ Up. This is a close-up of the belly band which goes around the card to keep it nicely folded. Lots of die cuts used with the front sentiment.

2017_07130038a

Belly band off… card beginning to open.

2017_07130039a

First gate fold open to reveal another sentiment and more die cuts.

2017_07130040a

And a close-up…

2017_07130041a

Second gate fold open to reveal yet another sentiment on the inside with more die cuts and a few dots of Crystal Drops. I have to apologize for the ‘wonky’ position of the fold on the bottom right. No matter how hard I tried, it would not behave and I couldn’t get a photo of it straight!

2017_07130042a

And a close-up of that one… Did I tell you how much fun this was and how much I love this fold, lol?!

hello

Hello, happy crafters! Hope you’ve had an awesome week! It’s the first Friday of the month and that means it’s time for another fun challenge over at Craft For The Craic! I’m excited to share my GD inspiration project for the August Include a Triangle Shape challenge! I was in a ‘pink’ kind of mood and created a very feminine and flowery friendship card.

2017_06070001a

Most of the supplies I used on this are from Stampin’ Up! – cardstock, paper, ink, punches and rhinestones. The gorgeous doily is a Cheery Lynn die and so much classier than most pre-cut doilies. I just got the Tim Holtz Tag Press that I was anxious to use, and I love it! The little bouquet of flowers is also a TH product that is new in my stash. :)

2017_06070002a

I decorated in the inside panel with leftover strips of paper and cardstock from the front and stamped a simple sentiment on the layered panel. I’m really happy with how this turned out. :)

Perpetual Calendar

Hello, crafty friends! It’s been a short week for many of you in the States with the July 4th holiday – hope it was a great celebration! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Craft For The Craic and I’m excited to share my GD inspiration project for the July Handmade Flowers challenge! I made ANOTHER perpetual calendar – I really love this cut file as it makes them so easy to throw together! Hope you don’t mind seeing two in a row… I actually made this one prior to the green one and did not intend for them to be posted back-to-back but since they were for two different design teams and two different types of challenges, that’s just how it worked out! :\

2017_06070004a

The double-sided paper is from Dare 2B Artzy and really brings the orange and navy blue color combo together in a beautiful way. The month stamps are from Stampin’ Up and are just the perfect size for the boxes.

2017_06070005a

The navy blue Glittered Gumdrops coordinate with the numbers on the cubes and the handmade flowers across the bottom of the base.

2017_06070006a

I’m really loving how these turned out and can see more of them in my future, lol! The two I’ve made so far are gifts for a couple special ladies in my life. I hope they like them!

Gadgets Caddy

Hey friends! Happy Friday! Hope you have a fun crafty weekend in store! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Craft for the Craic and I’m stoked to share my GD inspiration project for the June Father’s Day/Masculine but Not a Card challenge! I’ve been playing with my Scan N Cut again, and used the awesome 3-Pocket Caddy cut file from Creations by AR to create this fun little Gadgets Caddy for my hubby’s desk. I’m so tickled with how this turned out! What a great little Father’s Day gift! ;)

2017_05280001a

One amazing thing (among many) is the ability to scan something into the Scan N Cut and then cut it out, which is what I did with the letters spelling ‘gadgets.’ I enlarged the AR Christy font to 58 pts in Word which I printed on cardstock, scanned the sheet and cut the letters out.  I adhered them to the oval which is actually one of the negative-space pieces from the handle! Yep, I use those scraps whenever possible! I added a tiny paperclip and adhered the oval to the front with foam strips. ;)

2017_05280002a

The paper is from the Crafters Companion Just For Men Urban Collection 6×6 paper pad. I inked the edges of all the paper pieces with Walnut Stain distress ink.

2017_05280003a

This caddy has three pockets (partitions) which will be great for holding all the little gadgets on my hubby’s desk. Can’t wait to give it to him! ;)

There’s no happy like holiday happy

Hello, my crafty friends! Hope your week has started off nicely, and the weather isn’t too hot where you are! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Craft for the Craic and I’m super stoked to share my GD inspiration project for the May Anything Goes challenge! I created a fun Christmas card in non-traditional colors. Red and green are usually “the” Christmas colors, but for this card… NOT!

I created a card using purple and teal which is (another) one of my favorite color combos. Using dark purple for the card base, I cut strips of dotted paper from the SU Brights, Regals and Subtles DSP stacks to create some visual interest.

2017_04300007a

I stamped the focal image in the dark ink and then stamped over it a second time in Versamark (using the MISTI) and heat embossed it in clear so I could water color the open areas of the image with ink colors matching the paper strips. I finished off the front with Gloss White Crystal Drops. Really loving how this turned out!

2017_04300008a

I kept the inside simple, as I usually do, with a strip of leftover cardstock and a stamped sentiment on a layered panel.

Recipe:
Cardstock/Paper: SU Blackberry Bliss and Whisper White cardstock; SU Brights, Regals and Subtles DSP Stacks

Ink: SU Blackberry Bliss, Perfect Plum, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party ink; Versamark
Accessories:  Ranger Clear embossing powder, Niji water brush, Gloss White Crystal Drops, MISTI, Fiskars corner rounder

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project and will link up an Anything Goes project with us this month! Thanks so much for stopping by today – we’ll see you next time! ;)

Clutch Purse Gift Card Holder

Hi everyone! I’m back with another post, this time with a fun clutch purse gift card holder created for the new challenge over at Craft for the Craic! As you know, I’m a guestie for the next little while and it’s the 2nd Birthday/Anniversary of this sweet Irish challenge blog. The theme for February is “Something with Two on it” which could be the number two, two mediums, two colors, etc.

What better way to say Happy Birthday or Happy Anniversary than with a gift card… a gift card in a cute little clutch purse! I’m using double-sided paper featuring orange and green which covers the ‘two’ needed for the challenge theme. I fashioned the envelope out of matching paper and cardstock.

2016_10070035a

When I found this clutch purse cut file in the Silhouette store, I knew I had to have it! I see lots of these in my future – great for any occasion! They are super easy and really pack a powerful punch! :)

2016_10070036a

Happy to enter this gift card holder into the following challenges:
