KICK IT

Hi everyone! Hope you’re having a fantastic week! I’ve popped in to share a special project with you today. It’s special for a couple of reasons… I created this card for a friend’s 10-year-old grandson who had surgery. He’s a skateboard fanatic so I thought this really fit the bill, and he loved it! And also this card is my contribution to the Final Farewell post over at Southern Girls Challenge which is closing after ten years. I was on their design team last term and the owners asked past and present DT members if they would like to submit a farewell project, and of course, I said yes!

This was a fun, fast and easy card. I created a square card base, then printed some blue digital paper, trimmed it and layered it on black cardstock. I made the graphic look like a square photo and printed it several times. I adhered them on top of each other for some dimension and then adhered them to the card base.

I used the same blue digital paper on the inside and layered it on black cardstock. I printed the inside sentiment on the computer, trimmed it and layered it on black cardstock as well.

Here’s one more peek… love how this turned out! The grandmother of the young man for whom it was made sent me a message saying he loved it! Needless to say, that warmed my heart!
