Christmas Nighttime Sky

Hi everyone! A very Happy Saturday to you – I hope you’ve had a great week! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with one more awesome DT inspiration project! This is my last regular post for Eyelet Outlet (I’ll be popping in from time to time with new release samples for them) and I’ve created a Christmas card with a pretty inked nighttime snowy sky featuring our City Skyline Washi Tape and Snowflake Brads along with Santa and his reindeer!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from 80# Solar White cardstock. I employed the DTP (direct-to-paper) technique to ink the background with Ranger stormy sky and chipped sapphire distress inks and then splattered white acrylic paint mixed with a tad bit of water with my fan brush across the panel. I applied a strip of City Skyline Washi Tape to a scrap piece of 110# Solar White cardstock, cut it out along the tops of the buildings, and adhered it to the bottom of the inked panel. I stamped Santa with Reindeer (a rubber stamp thank you gift in one of my previous Taylored Expressions orders) and the sentiment from the Trinity Stamps A Sentiment For (Almost) Everything stamp set in Catherine Pooler Midnight ink, and then added the Snowflake Brads to complete the panel.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a super narrow strip of Basis Blue cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from The Project Bin Merriest Christmas stamp set in Catherine Pooler Midnight ink and layered the panel on Basis Blue cardstock.

And one more look… so loving how this turned out! You know how I love me some Christmas all year long, and I really enjoyed creating this with the fun washi tape and brads!

do more of what you love to do

Hi everyone! A very Happy Saturday to you – I hope you’ve had a great week! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I’ve been having some fun with my Scan N Cut, and the cut file for this oven box card is from My Scrap Chick. I actually had my daughter in mind when I got this cut file because she loves to cook! ;) This card features our Cooking Brads, Baking Brads and Mixer & Cup Brads and was so much fun putting together!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Astrobrights Solar Yellow, and all the remaining pieces from CutCardStock Astrobrights Re-Entry Red, Basis Light Yellow, Basis Black and Basis Gray cardstock, along with Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock. As I always mention, the greatest satisfaction I get is putting these box cards together and watching them come to life!

I drew markings on the clock with a Posca Black Paint pen. I adhered a mixing spoon brad and measuring cup brad to a piece of acetate so they would stand up on the cook top. I added two cookie sheet brads to the oven along with two oven mitts to the stove front.

I stamped a large sentiment from STAMPlorations in Memento Lady Bug ink on the back layered circle. This is a great all-occasion sentiment that could be used for just about any occasion.

And one more look… you know how much of box card fan I am, and this one was totally fun with all these awesome brads!

Scrappy hugs,

Happy Birthday From All Of Us

Hi everyone! A very Happy Saturday to you – I hope you’ve had a great week! I’m happy to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a fun and quirky CAS birthday card featuring our Party Hat Brads, Orange Dot Washi Tape and Orange Pearl Bling! These party hats are such a hoot and so much fun to play with!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Basis 110# White cardstock along with a layering panel from Basis 80# White cardstock. I applied a single strip of Orange Dot Washi Tape and then adhered a narrow strip of Astrobrights Solar Yellow cardstock just above it. I added four Party Hat Brads in a row and adhered the panel to the card base. I stamped a Taylored Expressions Simple Strips – Birthday sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap of Neenah Classic Crest 110# cardstock, cut it with the coordinating Taylored Expressions Simple Strips – Asymmetrical Die, and layered it once more on another piece of the scrap cardstock before adhering it to the card front on a Darice Double-Sided Adhesive Foam Strip. The finishing touch was adding Orange Pearl Bling.

I cut the inside panel from Basis 80# White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of Orange Dot Washi Tape and a narrow strip of Astrobrights Solar Yellow cardstock. I stamped a fun sentiment from The Cat’s Pajamas Sassy Birthday stamp set in Memento Morocco ink and adhered the panel directly to the card base.

And one more look… super happy with how this card turned out! These brads, washi tape and bling make the perfect companions for a fun birthday card!

Flower Shaker Thank You Cards

Hi everyone! A very Happy Saturday to you – I hope you’ve had a great week! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created an adorable set of three thank you cards featuring our new Flower Shakers along with Skinny Silver Dots Washi Tape and Purple Enamel Dots, Pink Enamel Dots and White Enamel Dots! I matched the ink and enamel dots with the colors in the shaker bits inside each flower. This is definitely a simple design that’s easy to mass-produce!

I cut three standard A2 size top-folding card bases from 110# Solar White cardstock. I put the grid block stamp from the Prickley Pear Stamps Blobby Flowers stamp set in my MISTI and stamped it in Catherine Pooler Serenade, Be Mine and Sauna inks on each card base. I added a strip of Skinny Silver Dots Washi Tape to each and stamped a sentiment from the Prickley Pear Stamps Blobby Flowers 2 stamp set in black ink in the lower right corner on each using the MISTI. I adhered a Flower Shaker to each card front, and the final touch was adding three Purple Enamel Dots, Pink Enamel Dots and White Enamel Dots to the card with the corresponding ink color.

I applied a strip of Skinny Silver Dots Washi Tape to the inside of each card base and then stamped a sentiment from the Pretty Pink Posh Mom stamp set on each using the MISTI.

And one more look… so loving how these turned out! These flower shakers are so stinkin’ cute I can’t stand it! And as I mentioned above, this super simple design would be so easy to mass-produce!

Heaven & Nature Sing

Hi friends! A very Happy Saturday to you – I hope you’ve had a great week! I’m happy to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a pretty Christmas card in traditional red and gray that features our Cardinal Brads and Cardinal Profile Brads along with Clear Jewel Bling. This was a fun card to put together and involved putting to good use two leftover chipboard ornament pieces I had on my desk from another project that I had previously thrown away! ;)

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from a pretty gray snowflake pattern and a red foil cardstock strip which I adhered to the card front. I added Clear Jewel Bling to the center of each snowflake, and then adhered a silver foiled sentiment toward the bottom.

I colored the chipboard pieces with alcohol markers, added a Cardinal Brad and a Cardinal Profile Brad, and adhered the embellishment to the top left corner.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of the snowflake pattern and red foil cardstock used on the front. I added another silver foiled sentiment and layered the panel on Basis Red cardstock.

And one more look… such a gorgeously simple design! I know I’ve mentioned before that these cardinal brads are some of my favorites in the store! And SO glad I thought to rummage through my studio can for these chipboard pieces… I knew I’d eventually find just the right project to use them on!

4/20/22 Top 3 Winner at Fab ‘n’ Funky Challenges!
4/30/22 DT Favorite Winner at Classic Design Challenge Blog!

Hi everyone! A very Happy Saturday to you – I hope you’ve had a great week! I’m delighted to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a cool Father’s Day Lantern box card featuring our Deer Brads, Pine Tree Brads and Sun/Cloud Brads. Yep, you got it… I’ve been playing with my Scan N Cut! I have tons of cut files on my laptop and when I came across this one (looking for a different one, of course), the light bulb came on and I got to work!

I cut the main card base from CutCardStock Basis Red, and all the rest of the pieces from Papertrey Ink Spring Rain cardstock, 80# Solar White cardstock, CutCardStock Pop-Tone Gumdrop Green cardstock and CutCardStock Basis Light Brown cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Hero Arts Year Round Messages stamp set in Catherine Pooler Over Coffee ink, trimmed it and set it aside.

As I was assembling the layers for the background scene, I added Deer Brads, Pine Tree Brads and Sun/Cloud Brads, and then finished the assembly. I added a jute rope bow at the top and adhered the stamped sentiment at the bottom.

Here are a couple angled shots. The back has a plain panel to write a custom message (if desired) and sign. And of course, this is a box card and folds flat for mailing. ;)

Scrappy hugs,

Hope your day is Beautiful

Hi everyone! A very Happy Saturday to you – I hope you’ve had a great week! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a pretty flower cart box card with my Scan N Cut that could be used for a birthday, encouragement or even Mother’s Day that’s coming up month after next! This card features our Color Daisy Brads, White Daisy Brads and Sunflower Brads, along with our Pink Jewel Bling and Enamel Stars! This was definitely a fun one!

I cut the flower cart card base from American Crafts White cardstock, the cart layering panels from American Crafts Taffy cardstock, the cart wheels from American Crafts Chocolate cardstock, the leaves from American Crafts Grass cardstock, and the flower pots from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Flame cardstock. Of course, the most fun was assembling it! The Color Daisy Brads, White Daisy Brads and Sunflower Brads made up the little clusters of flowers in the pots. I embellished the canopy with our Pink Jewel Bling and adhered white Enamel Stars to the wheels.

I stamped a sentiment from the STAMPlorations Beautiful You stamp set in Memento Rose Bud ink and adhered the sentiment panel to the back of the cart. I punched several 1/2″ circles and adhered them to the backs of the flower clusters to hide the brad prongs.

And one more peek of the card folded flat. Love, love, love! These flower brads, bling and enamel stars look awesome on this box card!

A little birdie told me

Hi everyone! A very Happy Saturday to you – I hope you’ve had a great week! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a super cute birthday card featuring our Female Cardinal Brads, Bluebird & Robin Brads and Mini Butterfly Brads! I cut the cherry blossoms (from SVG Cuts) on my Scan N Cut and they fit perfectly on this mini slimline card with very little edge trimming needing to be done.

I started by cutting the cherry blossom pieces from CutCardStock Basis Brown cardstock, CutCardStock Pop-Tone Cotton Candy cardstock and CutCardStock Raspberry Ice cardstock, and assembling it. I cut a 3-1/2″ x 6″ mini slimline base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock along with a pink textured layering panel from the Core’dinations Vintage Collection 6×6 cardstock pad. I adhered the cherry blossoms to the textured layering panel and stamped the sentiment in brown ink in the lower left corner. I added the Female Cardinal Brads, a Bluebird & Robin Brad and a Mini Butterfly Brad, and adhered the panel to the card base.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, stamped the sentiment in brown ink and layered the panel on the Core’dinations textured cardstock used on the front.

And one more look… I really love these brads and I’m so happy with how this card turned out!

Scrappy hugs,

Thank You So Much

Hi everyone! A very Happy Saturday to you – I hope you’ve had a great week! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a pretty thank you card featuring our Gold Skinny Washi Tape and Black Pearl Bling! I did the bleaching technique on the stamped image on the front of this card and used a lighter-weight 80# cardstock this time (versus 100# cardstock I’ve used in the past) which yielded a sort of mottled effect that I thought looked really cool and added some texture. Foil is so difficult to photograph and I took photos in my studio and outdoors, and these angled ones were the best I could get. *sigh*

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base and layering panel from CutCardStock Basis Black cardstock along with a gold metallic foil layering panel. I applied strips of our Gold Skinny Washi Tape in a diagonal fashion across the black cardstock panel (eyeballed it… didn’t measure) and then adhered it to the gold metallic foil panel and then to the card base. I stamped the floral image from the Trinity Stamps Summer Blooms stamp set in Versamark and heat embossed it with Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder. I painted the image with a Tsukineko Fantastix Brush and household bleach, and then used Karin Brushmarkers to color the bleached areas of the image. I die cut the image with the coordinating Trinity Stamps Summer Blooms die set and adhered it to three more plain die cuts for a little dimension, and adhered the piece to the card front. I stamped the sentiment from the Trinity Stamps A Sentiment For (Almost) Everything stamp set in Versamark on a scrap piece of the black cardstock and heat embossed it in gold, trimmed it, and adhered it to the card front with Scrapbook Adhesives Black Thin Foam Squares. To finish off the front, I added some Black Pearl Bling.

I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Basis Light Yellow cardstock and embellished it with a strip of Gold Skinny Washi Tape and two narrow strips of CutCardStock Basis Black cardstock cardstock. I stamped the sentiment (from the same stamp set) in black ink and layered the panel on the Hygloss Gold Metallic Foil cardstock.

And one more look… super happy with how this turned out! There’s nothing more classy-looking than our gold skinny washi tape on black cardstock! And the Black Pearl Bling really tops it off!

Scrappy hugs,

Howdy! Hey! Hi! Hello!

Hey everybody! A very Happy Saturday to you – I hope you’ve had a great week! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a cool friendship card featuring our Cactus & Flamingo Wide Washi Tape, Flamingo Brads and Pink Jewel Bling! This was such an easy and fun design that could easily be mass-produced to create several to give as a boxed gift!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Linen 100# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from CutCardStock Basis Magenta cardstock. I applied the Cactus & Flamingo Wide Washi Tape and several Flamingo Brads to the bottom of the magenta panel, rounded the top left and bottom right corners, and adhered the panel to the card base. I added a narrow strip of Neenah Classic Linen 100# Solar White cardstock along with a sentiment from the Taylored Expressions Simple Strips in Reverse – Everyday Occasions. The finishing touch was adding some Pink Jewel Bling.

The inside of this card is slightly different – with a pink panel rather than white – which I thought created some interest. So I cut the inside panel from CutCardStock Basis Magenta cardstock, rounded the top left and bottom right corners, and added a Flamingo Brad and another sentiment from the Taylored Expressions Simple Strips in Reverse – Everyday Occasions.

And one more look… such a fun card with awesome washi tape, brads and bling! Love how this turned out!
