What’s the Word, Bird???

Howdy peeps! Yikes, it’s the last Wednesday in October and Christmas is going to be here in the blink of an eye! I’m delighted to be back with one more guest design project for InkyStamper and am kinda sad to see it come to an end! I’ve had a grand time playing with their stamps and dies! I created this double flap card with the super cute Bird stamps and die in various blue patterns from the Doodlebug Design Buffalo Check-Wood Grain, Gingham-Linen, and Floral-Graph Rainbow Petite Prints. This is such a fun fold and I’m thrilled with how it turned out!

I cut the card base from 110# Solar White cardstock and the left and right flaps from 80# Solar White along with layering panels from CutCardStock Basis Blue cardstock. Next, I cut panels from a variety of patterns in the Doodlebug Design Buffalo Check-Wood Grain, Gingham-Linen, and Floral-Graph Rainbow Petite Prints cardstock pads. I stamped the bird and bell in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 110# Solar White cardstock, stamped again in Versamark, and heat embossed them with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. I colored them with alcohol markers and cut them with the coordinating dies.

I stamped a sentiment and ladder on the middle panel, and two more sentiments on the back panel.

Take Time To Coast

Howdy peeps! Dang, the time just seems to be going by at wicked fast speeds… we’re on the downslide to the end of October already! I’m stoked to be back with another guest design project for InkyStamper using the Pelican stamps and die! This inspirational side fold card (one of my favorites that is super easy) created with the pelican seemed like the perfect kind of card to create in varying tones of brown, and I love how it turned out!

I cut a side fold card base from 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from Doodlebug Design Floral-Graph and Dot-Stripe Rainbow Petite Prints. I cut notches into the side panel and tied some Doodlebug Design Lily White Doodle Twine around it into a bow. I stamped the Pelican in Memento Rich Cocoa ink on 110# Solar White cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers, and cut it with the coordinating die. I also stamped the stump with rope in Rich Cocoa ink on Solar White cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers, and fussy cut it. I adhered the pelican and stump to the card front and then stamped the birds.

I stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of Solar White cardstock, trimmed it, and adhered it toward the top of the card front. The finishing touch was adding several neutral colored sequins that I picked out of the Picket Fence Studios Spiked Cider Sequins.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock, embellished it with the Doodlebug Design Floral-Graph print used on the front, and stamped the sentiment in Rich Cocoa ink.

Fly on the Wall

Hey everybody! Another Wednesday has rolled around which means we’re getting that much closer to Christmas, my favorite season and my favorite time of year! I’m stoked to share another InkyStamper guest design project with you today! Using the most adorable Housefly stamps and die, I created a front step card in a friendship theme in shades of pink with a pop of lime green, and I love how it turned out!

I cut the card base from 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from prints in the Doodlebug Design Buffalo Check-Wood Grain, Floral-Graph and Gingham-Linen Rainbow Petite Prints cardstock pads. I stamped the housefly in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 110# Solar White cardstock, colored it with alcohol markers, and cut it with the coordinating die.

I stamped the graphic on the front panel and a sentiment on the back panel, and then adhered the housefly. The finishing touch was adding some pink sequins from the Picket Fence Studios Rainbow Sequins toward the top and an Eyelet Outlet lime green 3mm Pearl Bling Strip across the bottom.

I cut the back panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of Doodlebug Design Buffalo Check cardstock used on the front. I stamped another sentiment and the graphic in Tuxedo Black ink and layered the panel on Doodlebug Design Wood Grain cardstock.

And one more angled shot so you can see the construction of this fun fold which is definitely one of my favorites! And this Housefly stamp set and die are so stinkin’ cute I can’t stand it!

Leaping Lizards Birthday

10/15/22 Top 3 at The Crafter’s Cafe Challenge Blog!

Hey everybody! Happy Hump Day and happy early birthday to me! Tomorrow is my birthday and then Friday I have a consultation with a hand surgeon to talk about possible carpal tunnel release. Yay me. On a lighter note, I mentioned several days ago that I was invited to guest design for InkyStamper for the month of October, and I’m thrilled to share another guest design project using the super adorable Iguana stamps and die! The look on this guy’s face is hysterical as are all the different sentiments – I love this set! I created a half flap card with a birthday theme in my favorite shades of green which is only fitting for a lizard! ;)

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from 110# Solar White cardstock and trimmed away the top half of the flap with my Fiskars 12″ SureCut Paper Trimmer. I cut three panels of varying shades of green from the Doodlebug Design Gingham-Linen Rainbow Petite Prints cardstock pad for the top half of the card and a panel from CutCardStock Pop Tone Limeade cardstock for the bottom flap. I hand-cut a tree limb from CutCardStock Vanilla Bean cardstock and adhered it to the bottom flap.

I stamped the iguana in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on 110# Solar White cardstock and colored him with alcohol markers. I cut him with the coordinating die and then adhered him to the tree limb. I stamped the sentiment on Solar White cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it to the top portion of the card on an adhesive foam strip. The finishing touch was adding a few green sequins I picked out of the Picket Fence Studios Rainbow Sequins.

The inside is very simple with another sentiment from the Iguana stamp set stamped in Tuxedo Black ink.

Scrappy hugs,

Hey Chickee!

Hey everybody! I’m back with one last post on this fine Saturday morning! I’ve been asked to guest design for InkyStamper for the month of October, and I can’t tell you how much fun I’ve had playing with their super adorable stamps and dies! So stay tuned for posts every Wednesday this month! ;)

Now for the surprise… Chickee is being released today for World Card Making Day! The stamp set is FREE with a $30 purchase and the die is only a $5 add-on! How awesome is that?! I had the privilege of creating a fun shaker note card using these stamps and die as an extra project, which I paired with Doodlebug Design Gingham-Linen Rainbow Petite Prints 6×6 double-sided cardstock (some of my favorite cardstock!) and Picket Fence Studios Rainbow Sequins from the store. What friend wouldn’t love to get a card featuring this gal?!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from Doodlebug Design Gingham-Linen Rainbow Petite Prints which I adhered to the card base. I stamped Chickee on Solar White cardstock, colored her with alcohol markers, and cut her with the coordinating die.

I cut a frame from CutCardStock Pop Tone Lemon Drop cardstock using the Cottage Cutz Double-Stitched Rectangle Dies. I stuck some 7 Gypsies Architext Tall Base Chicken Wire to a piece of acetate cut to fit the frame, and adhered it to the back side of the frame. I laid the frame on the card front to get an idea of where to stamp the sentiment and adhere the image, and once that was done, I added four Scotch 3M adhesive foam strips to the back of the frame, laid down some Picket Fence Studios Rainbow Sequins, and adhered the shaker to the card front. I adhered three loose yellow sequins, which completed the card front.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it strips of the gingham and yellow cardstock used on the front. I left the panel blank, leaving plenty of room to write a custom message.
