Hello, my friends! It’s Day 6 of the 2019 Cat Lovers Hop and I’ve stopped in this morning to share one more kitty card with you! It’s much appreciated! Now I can’t wait until next year’s hop so we can do it all over again! LOL!

I created a fun romance card featuring… yep, you got it… another Tim Holtz Crazy Cat with accessories, all colored with my Studio 71 alcohol markers! OMG, this was so much fun! Check out his get-up… he’s definitely one of the coolest cats around! ;)

The yellow cardstock and patterned paper are all from GKD. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches. The sunburst is from Stampin’ Up and is another die I’ve had in my stash for several years and have never used. I have so many dies and I’ve been slowly going through all of them and using those I’ve never cracked. ;)

I added tiny dots of Morning Dew Crystal Drops on all the rays of the sunburst for a little interest. Okay, I can’t stand it! I’m loving this guy’s shades, hat and tie! I even added Glossy Accents to his sunglasses! ;)

I embellished the inside panel with leftover strips of cardstock and patterned paper used on the front along with an additional coordinating paper. The sentiment is from JessicaLynnOriginal – one of our Cat Lovers Hop sponsors!

And here’s one more peek… I wasn’t too sure how this was going to turn out but I’m so glad I stuck with it until the end because I LOVE IT! ;)

meow!

Hello, my peeps! It’s Day 5 of the 2019 Cat Lovers Hop and I’ve stopped in this morning to share another card with you! If you’re a fellow cat lover, be sure to come on over and play – Janis has worked super hard getting tons of sponsors so that means there are tons of prizes to be won!

I created a sweet friendship card featuring an awfully cute little feline. OMGoodness, can you say adorable?! And that plaid bow just melts my heart, lol!

I once again dug into my Paper Smooches kitty stamps and dies for the focal image. I started out thinking clean and simple, then added a coordinating flowered panel and then a half doily, and soon it was no longer CAS, lol! I separated the two panels with a third (thin) piece of coordinating paper and some skinny Washi Tape. Then I framed the kitty on three layered stitched mini scallop circle dies, added the sentiment with black glittered alphabet letters and some YNS Gumdrops in the corners of the panel to complete the front.

I embellished the inside panel with some leftover strips of paper and cardstock, along with the Washi Tape used on the front, then stamped the sentiment in black from the same Paper Smooches stamp set.

And here’s one more look… so happy with how this turned out!

BOO!

Hello, friends! It’s Day 4 of the 2019 Cat Lovers Hop and I’ve stopped in this morning to share another card with you! If you’re a fellow cat lover, be sure to come on over and play – Janis has worked hard getting tons of sponsors so that means there are tons of prizes to be won!

I created a swing easel card featuring a Tim Holtz Crazy Cat with accessories in all the bright Halloween colors of black, purple, green, yellow and orange! SO fun! My inspiration for this card came from a recent Splitcoast Stampers newsletter HERE. Those who know me – even moderately well – know that I love me some fun folds and I’m always looking for new ones to try!

I’m in love with the Tim Holtz Crazy Cats stamps and dies right now, so I pulled them back out along with the coordinating Crazy Things stamps and dies, and stamped, colored and die cut my cat along with his hat, broom and pumpkin. I cut six of the BOO! die cuts and layered them for dimension, to keep the easel portion of the card open, and added an orange gemstone to the exclamation point. ;)

Here are a couple close-ups. I stamped a simple sentiment on the back of the cat panel and left a spot to sign the card. I included a side shot of the card below so you can see the cool construction. ;)

And here’s one more look… this card folds flat for mailing. How cool is that?!

Hi everyone! It’s Day 3 of the 2019 Cat Lovers Hop and I’m popping in to share another card with you this morning! If you’re a fellow cat lover, be sure to come on over and play – Janis has worked hard getting tons of sponsors so that means there are tons of prizes to be won!

Sympathy cards in general don’t come easy for me to create but they are almost necessary to have in our arsenal of cards. So I created a pet sympathy card featuring dies from a variety of companies.

I wanted to convey sympathy but also wanted to keep the design light and friendly. I used Crafter’s Companion ‘Ruth’ Create-A-Card die set for the card base and layers. I used a Paper Smooches die as the focal point on the front and Paper Smooches stamped sentiment. I had the tiny punched hearts in my stash left over from another project that I thought were perfect to add.

I left the inside blank to write a custom sentiment, and embellished the panel with an Impression Obsession die cut cat.

And here’s one more peek… very happy with how this turned out!

I created an adorable kitty love card featuring a peek-a-boo window with an absolutely adorable little guy peeking through! I’ve had the MFT window die in my stash for several years and this is the first time I’ve used it! Not sure how that happens, lol!

The front and inside sentiments as well as the cat and coordinating die are all from Paper Smooches. I stamped everything in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored the cat with my Studio 71 alcohol markers.

I chuckled as I was putting this together and I’m still chuckling as I’m writing this! The sentiment goes purrrfectly with the image, lol! The shiny red foil hearts were in my stash left over from another project.

Santa is watching

Hi everyone! I’ve popped in today to post a fun card I created for the 2019 Cat Lovers Hop! This is Day 1 of the Hop, so if you’re a fellow crazy cat person, be sure to come on over and play – Janis has been working hard getting tons of sponsors so that means there are tons of prizes to be won!

I created a somewhat CAS card featuring a mischievous feline playing with a ball of yarn. This guy is from the Stampers Anonymous Crazy Cats stamp set, cut with coordinating die and colored with Studio 71 alcohol markers.

I used a Tim Holtz mixed media die in the lower left corner backed with red foil (DCWV Washi Tape Basics). OMGoodness, foil is SO hard to photograph! I even went outside because I’ve had better luck in the past taking pics of foil outside, but it’s been so windy over the past couple days that I wasn’t able to do it.

I kept the inside simple with a couple strips of the red foil at the top and a stamped sentiment.

2019 Cat Lovers Hop!

Hello, crafty friends! I’ve popped in today to share some info on a blog hop for fellow cat lovers coming up October 21st through 26th! The 2019 Cat Lovers Hop will be the fifth one hosted by my new-found friend and fellow crazy cat person, Janis!

My hubby and I have eight feline fur babies that we’re absolutely crazy about – Poopie, Molly, Walter, Jack, Tigger, Milo, Dusty, and Mocha Latte! Indulge me for a moment while I share some pics, lol! I know, I’m like that old granny who whips out the wallet and three feet of pictures unfolds! Bahahahaha! And I have to tell you that these photos are my favs and they are not real current…

Poopie (14-1/2), is the old lady who doesn’t like any of the other kitties… it’s a Manx thing! Ed got her when she was about four weeks old and she’s been by his side ever since!

Molly (5), is the mischief maker and little thief! She’s mama to Jack & Walter… can you see the resemblance?! Ed rescued her (along with two other females) from a job site, and when we took them to be spayed all three were pregnant, lol! We soon went from four kitties to 15! After weaning and getting them all spayed/neutered, most of the kittens were re-homed along with the other two mama kitties.

Jack (4), is our giant Blankie Bump… loves to sleep under the covers for most of the day, just like a teenager! He’s one of Molly’s boys and is a huge lovable lug!

Walter (4), is our Lil’ Panther… my sweet baby boy who loves to play laser! He’s Molly’s other son who gives finger kisses and gentle bites every now and then!

Tigger (4), is the boy who doesn’t like to be touched unless he’s laying down… and then he loves his belly rubbed! When you catch him in that mood, you better get your lovins while you can! He’s one of the kittens born to one of the other females rescued and re-homed.

Milo & Dusty (both 2-1/2), are the kids who are always into something… these guys are like having real human kids in the house again! We adopted them from our local shelter shortly after we moved out to Colorado from Florida.

Mocha Latte (1-1/2), is Mookie as her daddy affectionately calls her, and the most beautiful colors ever. Ed’s niece moved into a home last year and this tiny little girl had been left behind by the former renter. So the niece called Ed and *poof* we had a new baby! ;)

UPDATE: As of Monday, October 28th, we have a new baby in the house! This baby makes nine! Our 85-year-old neighbor called my husband Monday morning and said she heard a noise out under her carport and when she opened the door, this tiny guy was out there in the 19-degree snowy weather with his little eyes matted shut. We took him to the vet immediately and he weighed in at 1.1 lbs. He was de-wormed and started on an antibiotic and eye ointment. Here we are, five days later and he is full of spit and vinegar, and loves to play and eat! Meet Loki…
