Boat (break out another thousand)

Hi everyone! Well, we’re one day closer to the weekend and one day closer to the first of August! OMG, where has this year gone?! I’m delighted to be back on the blog today over at The Project Bin with an awesome masculine card! I created a nautical-themed card using the Anchors Away stamp set from my stash. It’s rare that I create a card with the sentiment as the focus but this is such an amazing set of sentiments I couldn’t resist!

I went with a navy and kraft color combo which always works for a masculine card. I affixed random strips of the blue cardstock to a kraft strip to use beneath the sentiment which yields some pretty cool interest. I stamped the sentiment in navy blue ink on the kraft, trimmed it and adhered it to the vertical strip. That sentiment is a hoot! And anyone who has ever owned a boat (#raisehusbandshand) knows how true it is, lol!

I embellished the inside panel with navy blue and kraft strips, stamped the sentiment in navy blue ink and layered the panel on the navy blue cardstock.

And one more look… very cool masculine card! I love it!
