Happy Valentine’s Day mini slimline

Howdy peeps! Happy Tuesday – I hope you’re having a good week so far! I’m happy to be back to share the last ScrapbookingStore DT inspiration project I created with the awesome February 2023 Scrapbook Kit with Upgrades! Now we wait for the March kit, lol! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed playing with all the papers, stickers and upgrades in this month’s collection and created a simple mini slimline Valentine. I saved the easiest for last!

I cut a 3-1/2″ x 6″ mini slimline card base from CutCardStock Basis 110# White cardstock along with a layering panel for the focal image from CutCardStock Basis Black cardstock. Using the Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline Quilted Backdrop Die, I die cut the front panel from a pretty red floral paper in the kit. I layered one of the larger journaling cards from the kit on the black panel and adhered the piece at an angle to the card front. The finishing touch was adding two Hobby Lobby red epoxy hearts.

I cut the inside panel from Basis White cardstock and embellished it with strips of the red floral paper from the kit and Basis Black used on the front. I added a smaller journaling card from the kit which completed the card.

3/3/22 Winner at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog!

Hi everyone! A very Happy Saturday to you – I hope you’ve had a great week! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I’m stoked to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a groovy love card for Valentine’s Day that really reveals the hippie in me! I created this super fun card with my Scan N Cut and it features our White Daisy Brads, Color Daisy Brads and Pink Enamel Hearts. I dry embossed each letter with a different embossing folder which adds such fun texture!

I cut all the pieces from CutCardStock Amaranth, Basis Magenta, Basis Green, and Pop-Tone Cotton Candy cardstock, and Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock. The fun part is always the assembly, and I added a White Daisy Brad and several Color Daisy Brads to the letters, and a Pink Enamel Heart to the layered heart in the center of the large flower. I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts Year Round Messages stamp set in Catherine Pooler Pucker Up ink, trimmed it, and adhered it to the bottom right.

I cut the inside panels from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and CutCardStock Amaranth cardstock, and rounded the corners. I stamped the sentiment from the Sparkle N Sprinkle Disco Fever stamp set in the Catherine Pooler Pucker Up ink, and added a die cut heart from my embellishment bowl that was left over from another project.

And one more look… love, love, love how this turned out! FLOWER POWER! Such a fun Valentine!

Happy Valentine’s Day

Hi everyone! It’s the first day of the month so that means a few posts this morning! A new challenge has launched over at the Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #19 – February Anything Goes! I created a Valentine in a pink and black color combo, and it’s a Double Z Fold! You know how I love my fancy folds, lol!

2017_07280002a

This was fun, and despite the complex look, it was pretty simple. Half the fun was picking out the coordinating papers! The stamps, dies and papers are all from Stampin’ Up.

2017_07280001a

I stamped the valentine sentiment on the large center panel, and embellished it with Carnation Pink Crystal Drops and a die cut arrow.

The hearts on the front are die cuts attached with tiny staples.

And here’s an overhead view so you can see the cool construction. I’m loving how this turned out!
