Clutch Purse w/ Set of Note Cards

** 7/24/17 Top 3 at That’s Crafty Challenge Blog! **

Hi everyone! Happy Friday to you! Today is my post day on the Dare 2B Artzy blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project using the amazing Paisley Bliss stamp set, Paisley paper and Totally Black ink. I created an awesome little clutch purse with a set of four note cards. This is the second set I’ve created and the possibilities are literally endless! If you’re interested, you can see the first set HERE. ;)

I stamped the “Creativity takes courage” quote (which I absolutely love) on the front flap that I decorated with the strip from the top of the paper and some thin strips of navy blue cardstock, and a vintage button.

I stamped the large paisley from the Paisley Bliss stamp set on a scrap piece of white cardstock, scanned it and cut it with my Scan N Cut, and colored it with three Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. The Zig colors were pretty bright so I layered a piece of thick vellum (also cut with the Scan N Cut using the same scanned paisley shape) to mute the colors. I used this as an accent on the bottom of the flap.

This is the clutch purse opened up to reveal the set of cards. Really loving how this set turned out! ;)

The set of four cards are all stamped with that awesome quote and several paisley stamps, and colored with the same three Zig markers.  I even stamped and colored a small paisley on the envelopes! I added a layer of the vellum (to mute the colors), several sequins and a hand-cut flag with a tiny button to each card.

Clutch Purse w/ Set of Note Cards

Hi everyone! I’m back with another post on this fine April Fool’s Day. The April House of Cards challenge is live this morning and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Feathers and/or Colors! How’s this for an inspiration photo… gorgeous, or what?! :)

I created a little clutch purse with a set of four note cards. I can’t tell you how much fun this was! My inspiration came from a YouTube video HERE. Pre-made 5″ x 3-1/2″ card bases and envelopes, slightly smaller than the standard A2 size, were used in the video. I always put my own spin on projects that inspire me. I cut my own card bases and made the envelopes with my Envelope Punch Board. I put glitter cardstock ‘trim’ on the flap which matches the strip on the cards.

The double-sided paper, cardstock and ink are all from Stampin’ Up! I created a stamped and punched flower for the front, and tucked a piece of cheesecloth (dyed with diluted Color Wash to match the paper and cardstock) behind the flower. I put the magnets for the closure between the flap layers so they aren’t seen.

The clutch opens up to reveal a set of four feathered note cards with envelopes. Love, love, love!

This is a close-up of one of the note cards which are blank on the inside. I embellished the fronts with four tiny clear rhinestones and a strip of glitter cardstock that matches the paper and cardstock.
