Hi friends! Happy Friday – I hope you’re having a wonderful week! We’re two weeks into January already… yikes! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! One of my projects was a top pick over at Cut It Up Challenges at the end of December and I was invited to guest design in an upcoming challenge so here I am sharing my GD inspiration project for Challenge – 243 Anything Goes which is a super adorable crayon box card! I am such a fiend when it comes to awesome cut files and putting these fun projects together! I was on an SVG design team for 2-1/2 years and since stepping down almost two years ago, I’ve really missed it! I seem to be getting my Scan N Cut out of the cabinet for crafty plays more and more often these days, lol!

I cut the pieces from CutCardStock Basis Gold, Basis Green, Basis Orange, Basis Red, Basis Navy, Pop-Tone Grape Jelly, Bonsai Green and Camomile cardstock, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, and American Crafts Marine cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from Prickley Pear Stamps Truck stamp set in green ink on the tag for the front.

I absolutely love putting these kinds of projects together! Box cards are among my all-favorites, and this one was particularly fun! I stamped the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Color My World stamp set in green ink on the panel for the back.

And one more look… I’m just totally smitten! So happy to have scored the guest gig at Cut It Up Challenges where I was able to share this!

Hi friends! Happy Friday to you all! It’s going to be an absolutely gorgeous day out here in southwestern Colorado! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I have one more card to share this morning that I created for Prickley Pear Stamps using the adorable Hello Jack stamp set with coordinating Hello Jack die set from their new Jack and Lily Collection! Jack and Lily both love to play dress-up and love to wear their rain boots, so this card features Jack with a bow tie and rain boots, which I created in one of my favorite blue and green color combos!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock along with layering panels from Hot Off The Press Gingham #2 6×6 double-sided papers (large and small gingham) with green stripe washi tape adhered at the seam. I adhered stitched die cut ovals cut from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and CutCardStock Basis Blue cardstock to the card front. I then stamped Jack and all his clothing and accessories on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock using the Hello Jack stamp set, colored them with alcohol markers and cut them with the coordinating Hello Jack die set, and adhered them to the card front on the die cut ovals. I added stitched die cut circles cut from the white and blue cardstock on which I stamped the sentiment from the Truck stamp set. I added two green enamel dots to the upper left corner and Ranger Glossy Accents to Jack’s rain boots and set the card base aside to dry.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a strip of large gingham paper used on the front and a narrow strip of CutCardStock Basis Blue cardstock. I added a die cut sentiment created from the CUTplorations Skinny Sentiments and layered the panel on blue cardstock.

And one more look… I’m just tickled with how this turned out! These kid stamps are just so stinkin’ cute and so fun to create with! The sky is literally the limit with what you can create with Jack and Lily, their clothing and their accessories!

For Someone Special

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! This month’s challenge is live over at Mix It Up Challenge Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for MIUCB #38 – Anything Goes + Acrylic Block Stamping! Our challenges are always ‘anything goes’ and we offer an optional technique twist each month just to inspire you! Our twist this month is stamping with an acrylic block! Yes you can, and it’s easy and fun! I created a ‘celebrate’ card that can be used for lots of different occasions, and features a gorgeous Gibson Girl image.

I inked up an acrylic block with walnut stain distress ink, spritzed it with a little water, and ‘stamped’ it on 4×6 photo paper to create the background. When it was dry, I stamped the Gibson Girl in Jet Black StazOn ink. When that was completely dry (it took a little longer), I trimmed the image and adhered it to a tan panel which I adhered to a black card base. I created some photo corners with a 1/4″ circle punch and two small squares of cardstock cut diagonally. I stamped the sentiment and cut it with a flag die, which I layered on two more flag die cuts for dimension. I added a row of tiny black gemstones to finish the front.

I embellished the inside panel with a strip of tan cardstock and layered the panel on the same tan cardstock, then stamped the sentiment in black ink.

One more look… these Gibson Girl stamps are so beautiful! I really love the vintage feel of this card!

For Someone Special

Hello, my crafty friends! I hope you’re having a good crafty day! I’m super stoked to share my Ephemoire inspiration project with you this morning. If you haven’t already done so, be sure to head over to the Ephemoire Etsy Shop to check out all the amazing digital printables… there are collage sheets, digital papers, journal kits, clip art and mixed media printables, and the print quality is awesome!

I was provided Floral Field Notes #1, Floral Field Notes #2 and Floral Field Notes #3 to play with this month, all letter size, and created a four-drawer easel card. This is only the second one of these I’ve made – the first one was back in August of 2015 for another DT I was on at the time, and if you’d like to take a peek, it’s HERE. I have to say, I like this one better, lol! ;)

2019_07200017a

I created the base from heavy cardstock so it would keep it’s shape, then cut all the pieces to go around the outside of the box, the top of the box and the easel. The sentiments are computer-generated and I cut them with dies. I added flowers and a charm from my stash, and created the leaves with a punch.

I lined all the drawers and added flower brads for the drawer pulls. ;)

Here’s one more look, open and closed… loving how this one turned out! So fun! ;)

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: American Crafts Chocolate, Vanilla, Sunflower and Leaf cardstock, Ephemoire Floral Field Notes #1, Floral Field Notes #2 and Floral Field Notes #3, all letter size
Dies/Punches: Crafter’s Companion Die’sire ‘Ruth’ Create-A-Card die set, Sizzix Dotted Rectangle dies, Stampin’ Up Leaf punch
Accessories:  Green and Pink Petaloo flower brads, yellow Hobby Lobby flowers, Fairy charm, Doodlebug Design yellow Mini Pearls

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s project! Be sure to check out all the awesome printables at the Ephemoire Etsy Shop, and while you’re at it, head on over to the Ephemoire Facebook Page for tons of inspiration! Thanks so much for stopping by today – we’ll see you next time!
