Psalm 147:4

Hey everybody, I hope your week is rolling along nicely! Can you believe we’re nearing the end of May already?! As mentioned a couple weeks ago, I was invited to guest design for Word Art Wednesday. Their challenges are every two weeks, so I’m back with another beautiful scripture to incorporate into my project. Newton’s Nook is the sponsor for Anything Goes – Weeks 754-755. This scripture teaches that God knows each and every person by name and he has immense love for the brokenhearted and those with personal struggles and anxiety. I made a ‘thinking of you’ card, and since I always love a shaped card, that’s the direction I took. And keeping in line with the scripture, I added some die cut stars as well.

Using the Crafter’s Companion Die’Sire Ruth Create-A-Card dies, I cut the card base and layering panels from Classic Crest Patriot Blue cardstock and a pretty plaid print from the Echo Park My Favorite Summer Collection Kit. I printed the scripture on 80# Solar White cardstock and cut it with a smaller die in the card die set. I added several stars (cut with the KIS Cuts: Stitched Stars) which I cut from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Visa and a scrap of the Patriot Blue. I did pop the large one up on a Scrapbook Adhesives Thin 3D Foam Square.

Using the same card die set, I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White and stamped a sentiment from the KIS Sentiment Stamps: Sunshine & Rainbows in Catherine Pooler Juniper Mist ink. I added a few more die cut stars which completed the card. LOVE how this turned out!

Luke 6:38

Hi friends, happy Wednesday! I hope you’re having a wonderful week! I was invited by the lovely Karen to guest design for Word Art Wednesday. It’s been probably five or six years since I had that honor, so of course I said yes! Pretty Pink Posh is the sponsor for Anything Goes – Weeks 752-753 and I was emailed a beautiful scripture to incorporate into my project. In short, Luke 6:38 teaches generosity so I thought it only fitting to make a thank you card using Pretty Pink Posh stamps and dies. You’ll undoubtedly recognize this expanding panel fun fold because I posted one last month for another design team. I totally love it so that means you’ll be seeing more of them! Don’t hesitate to let me know if you’d like the instructions for this!

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Pop Tone Cotton Candy cardstock, layering panels from Doodlebug Design Buffalo Check-Wood Grain Rainbow Petite Prints, and the inside Z-fold panel from 80# Solar white cardstock. I printed the scripture on Solar White and cut it with a Pinkfresh Studio Rounded & Braided Rectangles die.

I stamped, colored and die cut several floral images from the Pretty Pink Posh Happy Mother’s day stamps and dies. I used one of the smaller ones on the front so as not to over-shadow the scripture. I added clear iridescent gemstones from my stash around the rectangle, which completed the card front.

I added a couple strips cut from the Doodlebug Design paper along with two more Pretty Pink Posh images. I stamped a sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink from the Pretty Pink Posh Mom stamp set. Love, love, love! This design is just beautiful made in any colors or prints!
