Just Because

Hi everyone! It’s Friday and I swear they roll around so darn fast these days, lol! I hope you’ve had a great week! Our new challenge launched this morning over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m delighted to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #63 – October Anything Goes! I created a clean and simple card featuring a pretty gold heat embossed 3-Flower Collage image stamped with an old Stamp Camp stamp that my late sister gifted me a number of years ago. This stamp definitely has some sentimental value.

I created a standard A2 size top-folding landscape card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel for the front which I adhered to a CutCardStock Pop-Tone Wild Cherry cardstock panel. I stamped the 3-Flower Collage image in Versamark and heat embossed it in Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold embossing powder. I trimmed the stamped image, layered it on CutCardStock Pop-Tone Wild Cherry cardstock, and colored the negative spaces of the branches and flowers with fine point Pitt Artist pens, connecting the squares with the branches. I adhered a cardinal brad to each collage square and adhered the panel to the bottom of the card base. I stamped the sentiment in red ink and added three small red flat-back pearls.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished the bottom of the panel with cardinal washi tape and a narrow strip of CutCardStock Pop-Tone Wild Cherry cardstock cardstock, stamped the sentiment in red ink, and layered the panel on the red cardstock.

And one more look… I’m smitten with this stamped image embossed in gold!

Just Because

Hi friends! Happy Monday and Happy Labor Day if you’re in the States! I hope you’ve had a great long weekend! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I created this sweet ‘just because’ tower card for The Outlawz September Progressive/Freebie Challenge where Hetty Clare Art is our sponsor this month. We were gifted the super adorable digital image called The Little Ballerina to play with for this challenge, and I used a yellow and green color combo for this fun fold.

I printed the digital image on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, cut it with a My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics and colored it with alcohol markers. I cut the card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from CutCardStock Pop-Tone Gumdrop Green cardstock and Lawn Fawn Spring Fling patterned papers. I adhered the layers together and then adhered them to the card base. I stamped the sentiment from the Trinity Stamps A Sentiment For (Almost) Everything stamp set and then added several gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Brilliant Citrine Embellishment Mix to finish the card. I applied the gemstones with the Trinity Stamps Pick Up Stick which is amazing! ;)

I cut the back panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of CutCardStock Pop-Tone Gumdrop Green cardstock and Lawn Fawn Spring Fling patterned paper. I stamped the sentiment from the same Trinity Stamps A Sentiment For (Almost) Everything stamp set and layered the panel on the green cardstock.

And one more peek… folded flat for mailing. What an adorable image! And I really love this fold!

Just Because

Hello, my crafty peeps! Happy Hump Day to you! A new challenge launched this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m stoked to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #34 – May Anything Goes! I created a project with lots of green (which just happens to be my favorite color) – an adorable friendship card featuring papers, digital image and sentiments from Polkadoodles.

Leslie

I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and layered her on a stitched rectangle die cut. I added a lacy die cut, a narrow strip of gold mirror cardstock and some bling from my stash.

I decorated in the inside with leftover strips of paper and cardstock used on the front, and added a sentiment.

Hi everyone! The March House of Cards challenge is live this morning and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for Make A Scene and/or Colors! Come on over and play – we’d love to see what you create! I absolutely love this inspiration photo! This just screams ‘Spring’ to me!

I created a friendship card using the mirror stamping technique. First time I’ve ever done this and I have to admit I was a little nervous, but love how it turned out! I would love to have been able to add some ducks floating in my pond but I didn’t have any duck stamps small enough. ;)

After stamping the trees, I sponged the sky using both shades of blue, some pink and some yellow, then the grass shoreline using two shades of green, and finally the pond the two shades of blue. I used all of the colors in the inspiration photo and added pink. :)

I kept the inside fairly simple with just a stamped sentiment on a layered panel.
