With Sympathy

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! Our new sketch challenges this month are live over at Stick It Down and I’ve popped in this morning to share my Card Team inspiration project! Scrappin’ Happy Studio is our sponsor this month so come on over and play for the chance to win a prize! The card team is showcasing projects today on the blog and this is our super awesome card sketch this month:

OMGosh, what a gorgeous card sketch by our talented Laura Rumble! I created a sympathy card… and I have to admit that I usually shy away from these but the truth is everyone needs them occasionally and it never hurts to have some in our stash.

I did a lot of masking to create the flower clusters. I used a simple color scheme to color the flowers and finished the front with a stamped sentiment cut with a (yep, one of my favs) dotted oval die.

I kept the inside simple with just a stamped sentiment on a layered panel.

Thanks again, Laura, for the pretty sketch – I enjoyed creating with it!
