Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday – I hope your week is off to a good start! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Stinkin’ Inkers and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration for the Stars and/or Stripes challenge! I created fun ‘Cheers to Independence Day’ card with a vintage Americana feel.

I paired a rather patriotic Tim Holtz Paper Doll with a large Americana background stamp layered on distressed striped paper. I colored the flags red and added a few blue punched stars to complete the patriotic look.

I decorated in the inside with leftover striped paper and the remaining portion of the die cut used on the front, along with a computer-generated sentiment.

One more look – I’m loving how this turned out!

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Stampin’ Up thick and regular Very Vanilla cardstock, The Paper Cut Kraft and Distressed Pinstripe paper, Stampin’ Up Night of Navy cardstock scrap
Stamps: River City Rubber Works America Background stamp, Stamp Camp Simple Sentiments 2 stamp set
Ink: Stampin’ Up Early Espresso ink
Dies/Punches: Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers die
Accessories: Tim Holtz Idea-ology Paper Dolls, Tim Holtz stamp platform, Stampin’ Up itty bitty star punch, small Zots, red and blue fine point Sharpie markers
I hope you’ve enjoyed this card and will link up a ‘stars and/or stripes’ project with us this month! We’d love to see what you create! Thanks so much for stopping by today – we’ll see you next time! ;)
Scrappy hugs,
