Get well soon

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday to you! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I’m thrilled to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a triple fold card that has a belly band and features some of the new quarantine brads in the store, along with enamel dots which are some of my personal favs! You know how I love fun folds – this is the second one of these I’ve made and it’s such an easy one!

I pulled out a paper pad that hasn’t seen the light of day in quite a while and chose two coordinating prints that complimented the brown cardstock, and cut panels for the front and side flaps. I created a die cut element from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Lagoon cardstock and Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock on which I stamped the ‘get well’ sentiment, affixed a Kleenex Brad and Mask and Soap Brads, and added several White Enamel Dots. I embellished the corners with hearts punched from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Lagoon cardstock scrap and slightly larger enamel dots.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and embellished it with narrow strips and punched hearts from CutCardStock Stardream Metallic Lagoon cardstock, stamped the sentiment and adhered the panel to the inside of the card base.

And one more peek… so loving how this turned out! I think this would cheer up the recipient!

Get Well Soon

Hi everyone! Hope you’re having a fantastic week! Our new challenge is live over at Southern Girls Challenge and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project with you today! As always, the theme for our challenge is Anything Goes and we’d love to see what you create! Our sponsors this time are I Am Roses, Stamper’s Delights and Your Next Stamp. I was provided the adorable Chibi Get Well digi set from Stamper’s Delights and created a get well card… I never seem to have enough of them in my stash!

I created the background panel on my computer with repetitive ‘get well soon’ text in cheerful rainbow colors. I printed the Chibi three times, colored one of them with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and then adhered the other two on the back of the colored one which created some nice dimension. I ran a Memento Tuxedo Black marker around the edge for a finished look. I trimmed the sentiment panel, layered it on green double-sided textured cardstock and adhered it to the left side of the background panel, and then adhered the Chibi image. I finished the front with some purple Queen & Co. Bubbles.

I created the sentiment for the inside panel on the computer, trimmed it and embellished the panel with leftover strips of double-sided textured cardstock used on the front (one side is a lighter green and the other side is a darker green).

One more look… loving how this turned out! She’s so stinkin’ cute and sure to cheer up a sick person!

Get Well Soon

Hiya, crafty friends! Half the year is over… yep, Christmas will be here before we know it, lol! A new challenge is live this morning over at Mix It Up Challenge Blog and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project for MIUCB #27 – Anything Goes + Foiling. Remember, all of our challenges are ‘anything goes’ and we offer a different technique twist each month for inspiration but the twist is not required to play! This month the twist is to use foiling – this could be a Minc machine, foiled cardstock, aluminum foil, etc. If you’re inclined to play the twist, let your creativity soar! I created a hot pink Get Well card using DCWV Washi Foil, and if this doesn’t make someone feel better, it will certainly blind them, lol! It’s bright and I love it!

I’ve used lots of dies on this, starting with the scalloped stitched card base and stitched panels, then moving on to the foiled stitched oval with stamped sentiment, and finally the stamped and die cut band-aid with a little paper piecing. This was so much fun!

I left the inside blank for a custom written message.

And final look… did I mention how much fun this was?! Love how it turned out! And yes, it’s BRIGHT!

Hi everyone! Happy Hump Day – hope you’re all having a great week! Today is my post day on the Paper Wings Productions blog and I’m happy to share a DT inspiration project using the Flower Power stamp set along with the Sayings and Sentiments stamp set, Perfect Pearls and a Tim Holtz Idea-ology Buckle. I created a pretty get well card with a vintage feel.

I stamped several flowers from the Flower Power stamp set randomly over white cardstock with the Perfect Medium in the Perfect Pearls Jewel kit. The Perfect Medium stamped in a light brown which I thought was odd because I remembered it stamping clear the last time I used it several years ago, lol! I applied the green, blue, red and purple Perfect Pearls powders anyway and got a muted vintage look to all the colors. I guess that’s what happens when you use ‘aged’ Perfect Medium, lol! But I sure like the way it turned out! I lightly misted the panel with water to bind the powders so they don’t rub off. I cut the background and the rest of the white and brown bag cardstock layers with the matting dies.

I stamped the sentiment in Frayed Burlap distress ink on a narrow strip of white cardstock cut with a matting die from the same set, layered it on the brown bag cardstock, added a buckle and adhered it to the front. I finished the front with several flat-back pearls.

For the inside, I decorated the white layered panel with a leftover strip of the stamped florals and kraft cardstock used on the front. I left the inside blank for a handwritten message.
