Here’s to another year

** 7/2/17 DT Favorite at Crafting When We Can! **
** 7/2/17 Winner at A Bit More Time To Craft! **

Hello, my crafty friends! Happy Saturday – here’s to an awesome and crafty weekend! Our June challenge over at Let’s Craft and Create went live on the 5th and I’m excited to share my mid-month DT inspiration project for Challenge #126 – Girls, Girls, Girls! This is my last post for Let’s Craft and Create, and I’ve truly enjoyed my time with this amazing team. Thank you, Mary, for your wonderful leadership and support! We’ll see all you ladies around blogland! <3

You know how I love fancy folds and I’ve created another Z-box card. These are so much fun! I used the amazing Stampin’ Up! Balloon Adventures stamp set along with the coordinating Balloon Bouquet punch. I also used some new floral papers that I’ve fallen in love with!

2017_02250001a

I leaned toward a shabby chic style for this card, using lots of girly elements like glitter paper, flowers and lace, and distressing all the elements.

2017_02250002a

I used my stitched oval dies along with a new Party Banner die. I created a bouquet of balloons secured with a bow.

2017_02250003a

Here’s a side view showing more sentiments. :)

2017_02250004a

And here’s an overhead view so you can see the awesome construction. Love this fold!

Hello again, my crafty peeps! Happy Hump Day – hope you’re having a great week! The May challenge over at Let’s Craft and Create went live on the 5th and I’m stoked to share my mid-month DT inspiration project for Challenge #125 – Make Your Own Background! I had a b.l.a.s.t. creating this encouragement card!

I used a stencil and grit paste, Brushos and homemade Perfect Pearls spritz to create the background, and quite a few other elements to keep the eyes moving! ;)

2017_03120001a

For the sentiment, I combined stamped elements with the wood script word that I inked in black. I created a torn and curled corner with a doily and lace underlay that I embellished with flat-back pearls.

2017_03120002a

I inked a chipboard feather and embellished it with multi-colored seed beads, and added a gorgeous flower with two twine bows tucked behind one side of it. There are also a few metal embellishments – a key and two corner pieces.

2017_03120003a

As a final touch, I ‘touched’ all the element with white gesso. I’m really loving how this turned out! You’ll be seeing more mixed media projects from me as time goes on! ;)

2017_03120004a

I kept the inside fairly simple with a few scraps of cardstock and a stamped sentiment.

Hello, my crafty friends! Can you believe we’re on the downslide to the latter half of April already?! Wow, time is just flying by! The April challenge went live on the 5th over at Let’s Craft and Create, and I’m happy to share my mid-month DT inspiration project for Challenge #124 – Easter and/or April Showers! Show us an Easter project or one depicting “April Showers”…

I have lots of Bugaboo digis in my stash so I chose their ‘Egg Tulip Bunny’ image which I just love! I had the best time creating this card!

2017_03050004a

I dug out an Easter paper pack that I won several years ago and used a few coordinating prints. I layered all the elements on either green cardstock or patterned paper from another gorgeous paper pack. Sure do love my paper, lol! This card definitely needed one of my signature big bows so I added some looped twine behind it. I stamped a fun sentiment on a stitched flag and added some flat-back pearls to complete the front.

2017_03050005a

Using Glossy Accents, I ‘glossified’ (probably not even a real word, lol) all the Easter eggs on one of the layered pieces. This gave those eggs a nice shine. ;)

2017_03050006a

I decorated the inside with some leftover strips of paper and cardstock used on the front, and stamped an Easter greeting.

** 3/24/17 Party Pick at PDE Linky Party! **

Hello, crafty friends! Can you believe we’re in the middle of March?! I hope you’re enjoying some nice Spring-like weather wherever you are! The March challenge went live on the 5th over at Let’s Craft and Create and I’m stoked to share my mid-month DT inspiration project for Challenge #123 – enTWINEd! We want to see some twine on your project! C’mon, you can do it! Twine is awesome!

I created a very flowery friendship/thank you card using three coordinating sheets from a new Crafter’s Companion paper pack that I’m in love with. The stitched tag die is relatively new to my stash of stitched dies which I’m also in love with, lol!

2017_01290013a

I embossed the sentiment on the tag with white embossing powder which coordinates beautifully with the white design on the paper and the lace doily I added beneath the flowered panel. In addition to the twine, I used quite a few red rhinestones and white flat-back pearls.

2017_01290014a

I decorated the inside with a leftover strip of the floral paper and red cardstock used on the front. The front and inside sentiments are from a relatively new SU stamp set which I’ll be using again very soon. :)

You color my world

Hello, my crafty friends! Hope you’re having a great weekend! Our February challenge over at Let’s Craft and Create went live on the 5th and I’m stoked to share my mid-month DT inspiration project for Challenge #122 – Love Is In The Air. I recently purchased the CC Designs ‘Dragonfly Floral’ rubber stamp from Little Miss Muffet and I’m totally smitten! This is, without a doubt, one of the most gorgeous stamps I’ve ever owned. I absolutely love it! I created a CAS card with very few embellishments.

2017_01080004a

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and stamped a vertical sentiment, and layered it on some black shimmer cardstock. I layered the panel on foam for some dimension, and added some crocheted lace and a few sequins. This image is so gorgeous, it really didn’t need much to showcase it.

2017_01080005a

I colored the dragonfly’s wings with Spectrum Noir Crystal Clear Sparkle marker.

2017_01080006a

I kept the inside very simple with just a stamped sentiment on a layered panel.

Hi everyone! Hope you’re having a great week! This is my very first crafty post on my new blog and I couldn’t be more stoked! I realize it’ll be a while before all my blogger friends find me here but I’m still excited and hope it won’t take too long. It was definitely time to make a switch and I wanted something cheerful and fun, so I created this blog (named after my beloved Love To Scrap!) in some pretty bright colors! Our newest challenge at Let’s Craft and Create began on the 5th and I’m happy to share my mid-month DT inspiration project for Challenge #121 – Things With Wings! I created a monochrome friendship card in shades of teal with a pop of black.

2016_08130001a

I used coordinating Stampin’ Up! stamps, ink, papers and cardstock, and colored the flowers with matching Spectrum Noir markers. Can you believe there’s no big bow?! LOL

2016_08130002a

My first spinner card! I stamped the dragonfly on the spinner and colored the wings with clear Wink of Stella for a little shimmer.

2016_08130004a

Dragonflies are so majestic and beautiful – right up there with butterflies in my opinion. I really enjoyed creating this card and love how it turned out.

2016_08130003a

I’m happy to enter this fun spinner card into the following challenges:
