Happy Holidays

Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a great day! I’m up on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog today with an inspiration project featuring the Ornaments 2 stamp set! I totally love clean and simple and this stamp set is perfect for creating this kind of card. There are several different ornaments in this set that you can stamp by themselves or group together.

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from CutCardStock Cougar 100# Smooth White cardstock. I stamped an ornament from the Ornaments 2 stamp set in Catherine Pooler Icing on the Cake ink on a scrap piece of Cougar 80# Smooth White and cut it in a diamond shape using the My Favorite Things Mini Scallop Square STAX. I used a Pentel Slicci gold pen to draw a hanger on the ornament and then layered it on a small panel of CutCardStock Bright Gold Foil cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in brown ink and added several pearls from the Kat Scrappiness Gold Mix using my Trinity Pick Up Stick.

Hey everybody! It’s just amazing to me that the month of April is just about over. Where is the time going?! I’ve mentioned several times that my mom always said that the older we get the faster time flies. Boy, she was right! I have an awesome CutCardStock DT inspiration project to share with you today featuring our Kale Green, Scottish Highlands Green and Tartan Red cardstock which I paired with my all-time favorite Neenah Classic Crest Solar White! I’m always in Christmas mode so I used some new Christmas paper and foliage dies in my stash to make this festive card!

Using the Kat Scrappiness Foliage Dies, I die cut the holly leaves and berries and the sprig from CutCardStock Kale Green, Scottish Highlands Green and Tartan Red cardstock and assembled them. Next, I die cut the wreath foliage from CutCardStock Kale Green cardstock and assembled it, adding three sets of holly leaves and berries (reserving the fourth one for the inside).

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from a plaid paper in the Craft Consortium Tartan 6×6 double-sided paper pad. I used the Lawn Fawn Happy Happy Happy Add-On stamps and dies for the front sentiment, stamping the sentiment in Memento Northern Pine ink. I added several Darice clear gemstones and a bow fashioned from Really Reasonable Ribbon red ribbon to the wreath.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with strips of Tartan paper and Kale Green cardstock used on the front as well as the fourth set of holly leaves and berries. Using the Taylored Expressions In & Out Christmas stamp set, I stamped the sentiment in Memento Northern Pine ink.

2/12/23 CAS Weekly Favorite at Splitcoast Stampers!

Hey everybody! Happy Tuesday! I’m delighted to share another Keep It Simple DT inspiration project with you today! You know I love me some fun folds, and I’ve created a twisted gate fold featuring a variety of products from the Scandinavian Christmas collection! I used papers from the 6×9 Cardstock Pack and 6×9 Collection Pack, Gnomes Die Cut Pieces and Gnomes Stamps! You know I love gnomes, too! ;)

I cut the card base from CutCardStock Basis White cardstock and layering panels from papers in the 6×9 Cardstock Pack and 6×9 Collection Pack. I die cut a circle using a Spellbinders Classic Circles die to use as the base for the focal element that I created with die cuts from the Gnomes Die Cut Pieces. I stamped a sentiment from the Gnomes Stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Here’s a shot of the card partly opened.

I stamped another sentiment on the inside from the Gnomes Stamps in black ink and added some snowflake die cuts from the Gnomes Die Cut Pieces.

Hi friends! Happy Thursday! Can you believe there are only a couple days left of July?! Where is the time going?! I’m thrilled to share a Christmas card with you today that I created for Prickley Pear Stamps with their new Sketched Florals Poinsettia stamp set released just yesterday! Wow. Just wow. This set is beyond gorgeous. I see this one getting a lot of use in the years to come!

I cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base and layering panels from CutCardStock Basis 110# White cardstock, a layering panel from CutCardStock Red Wagon cardstock (which I adhered to the card base), and plaid patterned paper panels (which I adhered to the white layering panels). I stamped the poinsettia image on Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock in Ranger black soot archival ink and colored it with Karin Brushmarkers. I cut the colored image with a Cottage Cutz Double-Sided Oval Die and adhered it to the card front. I stamped the sentiment in black soot ink on a scrap piece of Basis White cardstock, trimmed it and layered it on a scrap piece of Red Wagon cardstock, and adhered it to the bottom of the focal image. The final step was adding several Kat Scrappiness gold pearls with my Trinity Pick Up Stick.

And one more peek… I just can get over this image! So gorgeous – and the vibrant Karin Brushmarkers just brought it to life!

Hi everyone! Hope your week is off to a great start! Couldn’t ask for better weather here! This is my ‘other’ favorite time of year! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! It’s time for a new challenge over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #35 – June Anything Christmas Goes using the adorable Prickley Pear Stamps Snow Family stamp set! What a treat this is… a matchbox pop-up card! You know me and fun folds! This is the first one of these I’ve made and it was crazy fun!

I created the box from light teal cardstock. I went with a snowman theme and used snowman paper on the top of the box and gingham paper on the sides. I added a scalloped border punched from Papertrey Ink Tropical Teal cardstock on the left side of the top and embellished it with iridescent gemstones. I stamped the sentiments on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, die cut them with a My Favorite Things Stitched Rectangles STAX die and a Memory Box Stitched Oval Layers die, and added several snowflake sequins adorned with Nuvo Neptune Crystal Drops. The inside drawer features the Prickley Pear Stamps Snow Family stamped on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut, along with a couple more stamped sentiments. I added looped cord to the front of the drawer to assist in pulling it out. With this fold, you pull the drawer out from the front and push the drawer closed from the back.

Here’s a close-up of the inside drawer – so stinkin’ cute I can’t stand it! ;)

And one more look with the drawer back inside the box… totally loving how this turned out!

3/9/21 DT Favorite at Sweet Stampers Challenge Blog!

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! It’s time for a new challenge over at Merry Little Challenge blog and I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #32 – March Anything Christmas Goes! I created an adorable clean and simple Christmas card featuring a Lawn Fawn stamp set with coordinating die, along with a sentiment stamp from The Project Bin used on the inside.

I think this is one of the easiest cards I’ve ever created, lol! It worked up so fast – I stamped the penguin, colored him with alcohol markers and die cut him with the coordinating die, then adhered him to the front of the Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock card base. I stamped the sentiment in black ink, then stamped the snowflakes and his jump pattern in light aqua ink. The final touch was the addition of a tiny iridescent gemstone in the center of each snowflake.

I kept the inside CAS as well, with a single strip of light aqua cardstock down the left side and a sentiment stamped in black ink.

And one more look… totally happy with this CAS design!

Happy Holidays

Happy Hump Day, my friends! I mentioned yesterday that the Prickley Pear Stamps showcase on Hochanda was last week so I’m sharing some of the samples I created for the show!

I used the Birdcage Winter 2 clear stamp set and the Birdcage die for this pretty slimline Christmas card in traditional red and green, featuring three circular frames with a bird on a branch in the center of each. I really enjoyed creating this card!

I cut a white slimline card base along with three 3″ square pieces of red glitter paper and adhered them to the card base. I cut three stitched mini scallop frames and two narrow strips of green embossed paper. I stamped three branches in green ink and three birds in red ink on white cardstock, and die cut the branches with a circle die and the birds with the corresponding bird die.

I adhered the circular branch die cuts behind the frames and adhered one to the center of each red glitter paper square. I adhered the narrow green embossed paper strips to the seams where the glitter paper squares meet. I popped each bird up on a foam square and adhered one to each branch, and then added tiny dots of Rouge Perfect Pearls. The final touch was stamping the sentiment in red ink on white cardstock, trimming it and flagging the ends, and adhering it to the center circle.

I embellished the inside panel with leftover pieces of the red glitter paper and the green embossed paper, added a die cut sentiment, and layered the panel on red cardstock.

And one more peek… so loving how this turned out!

As I was watching the show, I took a screenshot of each project while Alex was holding them up for the viewers to see, so I’ll be sharing those with each post. ;)
