Be happy!

6/15/20 Winner at Pammie’s Inky Pinkies Challenges!

Hi everyone! Hope you’re having a good week! Our new challenge is live over at Southern Girls Challenge and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project with you today! As always, the theme for our challenge is Anything Goes and we’d love to see what you create! Our sponsors this time are Three Button Studio, The Paper Shelter and Beccy’s Place. I was provided the super cool Neville image and a sentiment from the Gnomes in my Garden digital set. OMG, isn’t he just the cutest ever?! If I wasn’t married and Neville was a real-life dude, I’d be in love! ;)

2020_0423014

I angled the corners of the card base and went with a warm color palette, layering the background paper and front (computer-generated) sentiment on charcoal cardstock. I colored Neville in rich red, yellow and browns, and layered a total of four fussy cuts of him on top of one another for some dimension. I had to give some life to my guy, lol! ;) I finished off the front with some pewter sequins.

2020_0423015

I printed the sentiment that came with the image, trimmed the panel and embellished it with paper and cardstock used on the front.

2020_0423016

And one more peek… OMG, I AM so in love! What an awesome image and sentiment. I might have to buy Beccy’s gnome set because the other gnomes are pretty awesome too! ;)

Get Well Soon

Hi everyone! Hope you’re having a fantastic week! Our new challenge is live over at Southern Girls Challenge and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project with you today! As always, the theme for our challenge is Anything Goes and we’d love to see what you create! Our sponsors this time are I Am Roses, Stamper’s Delights and Your Next Stamp. I was provided the adorable Chibi Get Well digi set from Stamper’s Delights and created a get well card… I never seem to have enough of them in my stash!

DSCF6498

I created the background panel on my computer with repetitive ‘get well soon’ text in cheerful rainbow colors. I printed the Chibi three times, colored one of them with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and then adhered the other two on the back of the colored one which created some nice dimension. I ran a Memento Tuxedo Black marker around the edge for a finished look. I trimmed the sentiment panel, layered it on green double-sided textured cardstock and adhered it to the left side of the background panel, and then adhered the Chibi image. I finished the front with some purple Queen & Co. Bubbles.

DSCF6499

I created the sentiment for the inside panel on the computer, trimmed it and embellished the panel with leftover strips of double-sided textured cardstock used on the front (one side is a lighter green and the other side is a darker green).

One more look… loving how this turned out! She’s so stinkin’ cute and sure to cheer up a sick person!

hippity hop

Hello, friends! Hope you’re having a good week! Our new challenge is live over at Southern Girls Challenge and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project with you today! As always, the theme for our challenge is Anything Goes and we’d love to see what you create! Our sponsors this time are Auzz Trinklets and Jenoviya Art Shop. I was provided an adorable Jenoviya Art Shop digital image from the Cutie Doll Range and created an Easter card.

2020_0327005

I covered the front of my card base with green glitter cardstock, cut the front flap about 3/4″ shorter than the back flap and ran it through the die cutting machine with a cross-stitch border die. Since green and purple are one of my favorite color combos, I grabbed a couple shades of dark purple cardstock to pair with the green glitter cardstock. I added a computer-generated sentiment and a few small purple gemstones to complete the card front.

2020_0327006

The inside sentiment is also computer-generated. I layered the panel on dark purple cardstock and added a strip of green glitter cardstock at the base of the panel. I added two strips of skinny Washi Tape at the bottom of the inside flap which is visible when the card is closed.

2020_0327007

One more look… such a sweet image that really pops on the green and purple!

Just a Note

Hello, friends! Hope you’re having a good week! Our new challenge is live over at Southern Girls Challenge and I’m excited to share my DT inspiration project with you today! As always, the theme for our challenge is Anything Goes and we’d love to see what you create! Our sponsors this time are Krafter’s Cart, Moonflower Digi Stamps and KLM Designs. I was provided the Mum digital image from KLM Designs and created a pretty note card.

2020_0204006a

From ivory cardstock, I created a bi-level card base (meaning the front of the card base is just a tad shorter than the back), cutting the front off with a stitched scallop edge die. I layered yellow cardstock on the front and the inside, and then die cut two stitched rectangle panels for the front and two for the inside. The ‘Just a Note’ sentiment was included with the mum digital image so I made sure to capture that on the bottom right of the ivory panel I die cut for the front. I also printed the mum image 12 times, colored them with bright Bic Mark-It markers and then commenced to fussy cutting. I arranged them in circular fashion, popping several of them up on foam pads. I finished the front with a few tiny orange gemstones.

2020_0204007a

Since this is a note card, I left the inside blank with plenty of room to write a custom message.

2020_0204008a

And one more peek… I really love how this turned out! Sure makes me think of Spring! ;)

2020_0108005a

I printed three of the Blythe images and layered them on top of each other for some dimension. I colored the top one with my Prismacolor pencils and then ran a Memento Tuxedo Black marker around the outside edge to give it a finished look. I added a computer-generated sentiment and lots of bling.

I embellished the inside panel with leftover strips of the cardstock used on the front, and added another computer-generated sentiment.

Holiday Wishes to you and yours

Hello, friends! Hope you’re having a good week! Our new challenge is live over at Southern Girls Challenge and I’m stoked to share my first Southern Girls Challenge DT inspiration project with you today! The theme for our challenge is Anything Goes and our sponsors this time are Auzz Trinklets, JMC Designs and Jan’s Digi Stamps, so come on over and play for a chance to win a prize! I was provided the Spicy Fox Collection from JMC Designs and created a sweet Christmas card using one of the images named Ginger! It’s never too early to start on those Christmas cards!

2019_1210021a

I created a Z-fold card base and layered patterned paper and cardstock on all the panels. I colored the sweet Ginger image with Prismacolor Pencils, cut it with a double-stitched rectangle die and layered it on tan and red cardstock. I paper-pieced her scarf and hat with red plaid paper, and added Glossy Accents to the tiny round elements. I stamped the vertical sentiment in brown ink.

2019_1210022a

I embellished the inside panel with the red plaid paper and layered it on tan and red cardstock, then added the stamped sentiment on a small tan panel.

2019_1210023a

And here’s one more look completely opened up. I love this fold and I’m thrilled with how it turned out! Pair an adorable image with some pretty papers and *poof* you have an awesome card! ;)
