Owl always love you

Hey everybody! Top of the morning to you! I hope you’re having a great week! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you – I really appreciate your support! I shared a box card that we sent to our youngest grandson yesterday, so today I’m sharing an another box card that we sent to our youngest granddaughter at the same time. This adorable Owl Box Card is another one from My Scrap Chick and turned out so stinkin’ cute with the little owl peeking out of the hole in the tree! And of course, I lucked out having the perfect stamp set to use!

I cut all the pieces from Stampin’ Up Chocolate Chip cardstock, CutCardStock Basis Brown, Basis Light Brown, Basis Green, Basis Black, Basis White, and Pop-Tone Tangy Orange cardstock. I used the Stampin’ Up Hardwood background stamp on the tree layering pieces, stamped in Catherine Pooler Icing On The Cake ink.

I assembled the card, stamped the sentiment in black ink using the Taylored Expressions Hoot Hoot Hooray stamp set, and added a few green Dot Sparklers using the Trinity Pick-Up Stick.

Here are a couple more angled shots.

And one more peek… folded flat for mailing. Box cards are just all-around fun, and the fact that they fold flat for mailing is a bonus!

Hi friends! I hope you’re having a great day and doing something fun while you’re working or perhaps instead of working?! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I popped in to share a Valentine I created for The Outlawz Saturday Paper A La Mode Challenge – the first time I’ve played in this particular challenge and I don’t know why I haven’t played here before! We Are 3 Digital Shop is the sponsor and I used their gorgeous Purse Textures – Smashed Cranberries digital paper. Bear in mind that you do not have to purchase sponsor items to play in any of The Outlawz Challenges but I wanted to see what this sponsor was all about. And when I visited their Etsy shop, this paper pack really spoke to me and I knew I had to have it!

I printed all the papers in this digital pack on 60# Hammermill copy paper and decided on this gorgeous cranberry one for a Valentine. I created my standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and rounded the bottom right corner. I cut the digital paper and cranberry cardstock layers and adhered them to the card base. I die cut some light pink and cranberry stitched hearts and adhered the large light pink one to the card front. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in white in the lower left corner. I stamped, colored and die cut the owl and branch and arranged them on the heart. I affixed a small stitched heart die cut and a few white enamel dots to finish the card front.

I created the inside panel a little differently than normal this time. I cut digital paper and cranberry cardstock layers and adhered them to the inside of the card base. Then I cut a narrow and a wide panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and adhered them to the digital paper layer. I stamped the sentiment in pinkish-red ink and added two small stitched heart die cuts.

And one more look… totally loving how this turned out! I’m so smitten with this digital paper!
