Life Begins After Coffee

Hi friends! I hope you had a great weekend and your week is off to a fabulous start! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! Our new challenge at Mix It Up Challenge Blog is live this morning and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for MIUCB #50 – Anything Goes + Stamping! Our challenges are always ‘anything goes’ and we offer a technique twist each month just to inspire you! Our twist this month is stamping so we’d love to see your clear/rubber stamps in action! Just remember that the twist is not mandatory to play! I created a fun card for that coffee lover featuring several Prickley Pear Stamps stacked coffee cups in bright colors on a dry embossed ivory background.

I created a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory cardstock along with a layering panel for the front. I dry embossed the front panel, layered it on watermelon cardstock and added some washi tape across the top for a little interest. I stamped the coffee beans and coffee cups on Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers and cut them with the coordinating dies. I stamped the sentiment on Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory cardstock, punched it with a circle punch and trimmed off the top portion. I arranged the cups in a stack and adhered them with dimensional foam pads. I adhered the coffee beans to the bottom of the card and the sentiment toward the top right, and added a Tangerine Sprinkle for a little more interest.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory cardstock and embellished it with a narrow strip of watermelon cardstock and a strip of the washi tape. I added a die cut sentiment and a few more coffee beans and layered the panel on watermelon cardstock.

And one more peek… I’m so in love with this card! I’m not a huge coffee drinker (two cups every morning) but I love these colorful stacked cups!
