Be Silly wall hanging

Hi everyone! Happy Friday… doing the *happy dance*… Fridays are my most favorite day of the week! And today starts a new challenge over at Polkadoodles! I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Wk 7 – Anything Goes! I created a fun ‘Be Silly’ wall hanging that’s hanging in my studio to remind me that I don’t have to be serious all the time! ;) This is my last post for Polkadoodles. I’ve made the difficult decision to step down because of too many obligations right now. I’d like to thank Jan and the gang for having me along for the past several months – I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself!

2019_0202001a

I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned that even though all Polkadoodles challenges are ‘anything goes’, our design teams are challenged each week with a specific theme. This week it’s “Recycle” so I recycled the thick cardboard backing from a package of cardstock to use as the base for my wall hanging. All of the elements (image, papers, sentiment, bow and flowers) are from the amazing Octavia Moonfly Big Kahuna Digital Craft Download Bundle. Be sure to check it out… you will NOT be disappointed! :)

2019_0202002a

I colored the fairy image with a new set of alcohol markers that I recently purchased (and still adding colors as they become available), and used dies from several of my favorite sets to cut a background panel, the focal image and the sentiment. I also used some fabric ribbon, flat back pearls and flower brads from my stash. This was so much fun putting together!

Congratulations

Hi everyone! Welcome to February… it sure got here fast! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Polkadoodles Craft Challenge and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for Week 5 – Anything Goes Challenge, a pretty wedding congratulations card created with the absolutely adorable Bride and Groom digital image, one digital paper from Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Paper Heaven 2 Bundle and two digital papers from Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Paper Heaven 5. I also used sentiments from Winnie Celebrations 1 Sentiments and Winnie Celebrations 2 Sentiments.

2019_0120001a

I really enjoyed coloring up this adorable image and pairing it with the soft digital papers and pop of gold. I used one of my favorite dotted dies to cut the image and layered the sentiment in vertical fashion.

2019_0120002a

I decorated the inside with some leftover strips of paper used on the front, and cut the sentiment with a mini stitched scalloped die (another favorite). I had a scrap piece of Paper Heaven 2 digital paper from Octavia Moonfly Big Kahuna Digital Craft Download Bundle laying on my desk that I used to layer the panel on.

Hi everyone! Happy Friday – hope you’ve had a good week and are planning a fun weekend! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Polkadoodles Craft Challenge and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for Week 3 – Anything Goes Challenge, a pretty Winter birthday card featuring the absolutely adorable pre-colored Winnie Winterland – Skating Around digital craft stamp. Green just happens to be my favorite color and I so enjoyed creating this!

2019_01060004a

I cut the image with a double stitched square die and layered it on a postage stamp die cut and then added foam tape on the back for a little dimension. I used papers from Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Paper Heaven 3 and Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Paper Heaven 2 to create the background panel and coordinating strip which are layered on solid green cardstock. I cut the sentiment in a double stitched rectangle die and punched a couple hearts from green paint cards. I’ve been using pieces of paint cards in my crafts a lot lately, lol! The finishing touch was the addition of a few green sequins.

2019_01060005a

The front and inside sentiments are from Winnie Celebrations 2 Sentiments and Winnie Celebrations 3 Sentiments. I decorated the inside panel with leftover strips of paper and cardstock used on the front. I’m so in love with how this turned out!

Have a Magical Day

Hi everyone! Happy, Happy Friday – my favorite day of the week! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Polkadoodles Craft Challenge and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for Week 1 – Anything Goes Challenge, a pretty friendship card featuring Octavia Rose Garden and Rose images as well as papers and sentiments – and they are all from the Octavia Moonfly Big Kahuna Digital Craft Download Bundle. This bundle is a new one in my stash and I’m having the best time using the elements!

2019_01060001a

I printed the Octavia Rose Garden image, colored the wings with sparkle overlay marker,  and cut it with a double stitched die. I printed the two papers I wanted to use with the image and created layered panels. I printed the front sentiment and cut it with a stitched round die, and cut another circle die cut from glitter paper to layer under the sentiment. I also die cut a doily to tuck under the image. I popped the image and sentiment up on foam for a little dimension. The final touch was the addition of a few flat-back pearls.

2019_01060002a

For the inside, I printed a faded Rose image and added the fairy dust sentiment on white cardstock, trimmed it and layered it on the silver cardstock.

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Polkadoodles Craft Challenge and I’m super stoked to share my DT inspiration project for Week 50 – Anything Goes Challenge, an awesome Christmas tag, with a ton of layers, created with various elements from the Winnie Winterland Big Kahuna Digital Craft Download Bundle. I am in awe over all the stuff you get in these Big Kahuna download bundles! It’s just amazing… the creativity is never-ending and what a bang for your buck!

I’ve been about to burst at the seams to share this project! I love tags and I love lots of layers so this was right up my alley!

2018_11110005a

I started by fussy cutting all the elements I wanted to use, inked the edges and set them aside. I then grabbed a tag, covered it with pretty paper and inked the edges. Then the fun began… placing all the elements where I wanted them and adhering them. I layered loops of gold cording behind the focal image and added a small rhinestone to the center of each flower. I added a mini clothespin from my stash to the top of the focal image and then a piece of plaid Christmas ribbon through the tag hole tied with a small piece of the gold cording.

Here are a couple shots from different angles so you can see the dimension. I love how this turned out!
