What the Cluck?

Happy Saturday to you, my friends! Hope you had a great week and you’re doing something fun this weekend! I’m happy to be back on the Eyelet Outlet blog today with another awesome DT inspiration project! I created a not-so-ordinary baby card using awesome brads, washi tape and enamel dots! Those who know me know that I have a warped sense of humor which is evident in this card!

I still had these brads and stamp set out on my desk from another card I made which will be showcased in a few weeks, and I couldn’t help myself… I had to make another card with them! I created a top folding card base and went with a yellow and red color combo which I thought complimented the chicken nicely. The dotted cardstock is some of my favorite so I used a scrap of yellow and white dotted across the bottom of the background panel, topped it with a strip Glitter Black Washi Tape and then added a thin strip of red cardstock. I added one Chicken Brad, stamped the sentiment in black ink and layered the panel on the red cardstock. I adhered the panel to the card base, and the finishing touch was the addition of several Black Enamel Dots.

I embellished the inside panel with leftover strips of yellow dotted and red cardstock used on the front, stamped the sentiment in black ink, and layered the panel on the red cardstock.

And one more peek… this cracks me up! I love it!

What the Cluck?

5/1/20 Winner at Crafty Catz!
5/3/20 Favorite at The Outlawz Sunday Songs & Rhymes Challenge!

Hi everyone! I had a couple hours to myself this afternoon in my studio so I created a few more cards for The Outlawz Challenges. This fun card is for the Sunday Songs & Rhymes Challenge and the piece of the rhyme I focused on was “9, 10 A Big Fat Hen!” Sherry West Art is our sponsor this month and I snipped the chicken from her Hoppy Easter digital image set to use for a new baby card.

A big fat hen it is – and how stinkin’ cute is she?! I colored the image in yellow, orange and red, cut it with a stitched circle die and added some white paint pen lines to add to the whimsical character. I used yellow and white dotted cardstock along with a thin strip of black cardstock. I stamped the sentiment using a fun stamp set in my stash, and finished the front with a few small yellow sequins.

I embellished the inside with the same yellow and white dotted cardstock and thin strip of black cardstock used on the front. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

And one more peek… I sure am smitten with this chicken, lol! SO cute! ;)
