Happy Holiday

Hello, my crafty friends! Hope you had a great weekend! A new challenge launched over at UnstampaBelles last Monday and today is my showcase day on the blog. I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #96 Star Struck Starry Night. The twist this month is to use sparkle pens and/or glues. The twist is not mandatory to play but we’d love to see your creativity and it will put you in the running for DT Favorite! This is my last post for UnstampaBelles and I’d like to thank Susan and the rest of the team for having me along for this past year. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed challenging myself to create projects with no stamping! ;)

I created a super cute Christmas card featuring a glittery starry background paper with an adorable image of a little girl whispering into the snowman’s ear. ;)

2019_0601001a

I chose two coordinating papers, an image and a sentiment to create my background. I popped the main portion of the background up on foam and adhered a thin strip of a different paper down the right side. I layered the focal image on dark brown cardstock and adhered the sentiment to the bottom of it, then adhered the panel to the background.

2019_0601002a

I embellished the inside panel with leftover strips of paper and the dark brown cardstock, added the sentiment, and layered the panel on brown cardstock.

On more look at this adorable card… loving how it turned out!

FUN

Hello, my crafty friends! Hope you had a great weekend! A new challenge launched over at UnstampaBelles last Monday and today is my showcase day on the blog! I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #95 – Paradise Pretties and Tropical Delights! The twist this month is ‘In to the Wild.’ The twist is not mandatory to play but we’d love to see your creativity and it will put you in the running for DT Favorite! And there’s a prize in the mix… a $15 AUS gift voucher… so let’s see what you got!

I created a fun tropical friendship card featuring a pile of die cuts. The white hibiscus flowers and palm tree were freebies I received with a Funkie Junkie Boutique order a while back, and the rest of the die cuts are from the American Crafts Amy Tangerine pack.

2019_0605009a

Despite all the layers, this really was an easy card. I put the die cuts where I wanted them and then adhered them down. The final touches were some simple white dots inside the F-U-N letters with a white Gelly Roll pen and the silver glitter flower stickers in the bottom right corner.

2019_06050010a

I decorated the inside with leftover strips of paper and cardstock used on the front, along with a piece of ephemera from the Amy Tangerine pack.

2019_06050011a

And one final look… loving how this turned out! What a fun card, lol!

Thank You cards (set of 8)

Hello, my crafty friends! Hope you had a great weekend! A new challenge launched over at UnstampaBelles last Monday and today is my showcase day on the blog! I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #94 – Well, Thank You! The twist this month is ‘Brilliant in Blue.’ The twist is not mandatory to play but we’d love to see your creativity and it will put you in the running for DT Favorite!

I created a set of eight thank you note cards using Country Road paper from The Paper Studio in gorgeous shades of blue layered on navy cardstock. Once again I used the very cool “One Sheet Wonder” template created by a very talented lady HERE. It’s just so neat to be able to create eight card fronts from one sheet of patterned paper! Double-sided paper yields the best result with this OSW, however, the back side of the paper I used is white which was an awesome compliment to the blues on the front side!

2019_0616001a

After creating all the backgrounds and layering them on navy blue cardstock, I created the card bases and adhered the backgrounds. The sentiment for each card was created with a round Darice gold foil ‘thank you’ sticker layered on either a plain punched circle or a scalloped punched circle. Each card was embellished with several blue Dot Sparklers. Here are pics of the cards taken in pairs:

2019_0616004a
2019_0616003a

The inside of each card is the same, embellished with leftover strips of the blue paper and cardstock used on the front. Since these are note cards, I left each one blank to write a custom message. Loving how these turned out and can’t wait to gift them! ;)

I’d love to enter this set of cards into the following challenges:

Dies/Punches: Stampin’ Up 1-3/4″ circle punch, Stampin’ Up 1-3/4″ scallop circle punch, Stampin’ Up Banner Triple punch

Thinking of You note card

Hello, my crafty friends! Hope you had a great weekend! A new challenge launched over at UnstampaBelles last Monday and today is my showcase day on the blog! I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #93 Time for Recess! The twist this month is ‘Luscious Layers.’ The twist is not mandatory to play but we’d love to see your creativity and it will put you in the running for DT Favorite! And there’s a prize in the mix… a $15 (AU) gift voucher… so let’s see what you got!

I created the most adorable ‘thinking of you’ note card featuring a gingerbread man (with a hand-drawn mouth) peeking out of a circular opening on the front of the card. So flippin’ cute! ;)

2019_0601005a

I chose three coordinating papers and two circle punches to create my background. I popped the main portion of the background up on foam and adhered a thin strip of a different paper down the right side. I punched several 2-1/4″ circles from cardstock, then put the negative pieces into a 2-1/2″ and punched 1/4″ rims which I layered around the circular opening. This created a recessed opening. I placed the third piece of patterned paper behind the opening and tucked in a sweet little gingerbread man. I adhered the sentiment under the aperture to finish the front.

2019_0601006a

I decorated the inside with some leftover pieces of paper and a strip of cardstock used on the front, leaving plenty of room to write a custom message.

2019_0601007a

One more look… this is just so stinkin’ cute! Love how it turned out!

Documented

Hello, my crafty friends! Hope you had a great weekend! A new challenge launched over at UnstampaBelles last Monday and today is my showcase day on the blog! I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #92 – Tea In The Garden! The twist this month is Watercolor Wonders.  The twist is not mandatory to play but we’d love to see your creativity and it will put you in the running for DT Favorite! And there’s a prize in the mix… a $15 AU gift voucher… so let’s see what you got!

I created a friendship card using a teacup and flowers die along with a purple and green watercolor background. I am so in love with this card – I think it’s one of the prettiest cards I’ve ever made in all my years of crafting. I’m going to send it to my daughter.  :)

2019_06230013a

There are multiple layers of the flowers and teacup. I used a gold paint marker to accent the rim, handle and saucer. I used two different prints of skinny Washi Tape. The front and inside sentiments are Tim Holtz Metallic Quotations stickers.

2019_06230014a

I decorated the inside with leftover strips of the watercolor paper and cardstock used on the front.

2019_06230015a

One more look at the dimension of the teacup and flowers. I’ve had this die in my stash for several years and this is the first time I’ve used it. Not sure why… it’s absolutely gorgeous!

Parcel Post & Special Delivery note cards

Hello, my crafty friends! Hope you had a great weekend! A new challenge launched over at UnstampaBelles last Monday and today is my showcase day on the blog! I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #91 – Stunning Stencil Play! The twist this month is ‘It Pays to Spray.’ The twist is not mandatory to play but we’d love to see your creativity and it will put you in the running for DT Favorite! And there’s a prize in the mix… a $15 au Gift Voucher… so let’s see what you got!

2019_0605001a

I grabbed the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Doily stencil, a few Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and two pieces of Canson Cold Press watercolor paper. I sprayed Dragonfly and Moss GM onto one side of the stencil to create the first background, cleaned it off and flipped it over, and sprayed Dragonfly and Iridescent Silver GM onto the other side to create the second background. I layered the panels on coordinating cardstock and foam, and adhered them to the card bases.

I added a butterfly with game spinner body to each card along with a sentiment and wood gear to complete the card fronts. I layered the inside panels on matching cardstock, and since they are note cards I left the inside of each one blank to write a custom message.

And one more look from an angle to see the dimension of the butterflies. So pretty! I’m tickled with how these turned out!

nothing like a dream

Hello, my crafty friends! Hope you had a great weekend! A new challenge launched over at UnstampaBelles last Monday and today is my showcase day on the blog! I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Stained Glass Using Dies! The twist this month is Inlaid Glitter. The twist is not mandatory to play but we’d love to see your creativity and it will put you in the running for DT Favorite! And there’s a prize in the mix… a random number draw for $15 to the shop of your choice or via PayPal! How awesome is that?!

I created a friendship card using dark brown cardstock for the card base. I cut off the corners of the card base to follow the flat corners of the die cut.

2019_0505006a

I colored the first layer containing the die cut negative spaces with earth tones, then added Glossy Accents, some glitter and another coat of Glossy Accents.

2019_0505007a

I added five more die cut layers to build the design, then I added a few flat back pearls and a sentiment sticker to finish it off.

2019_0505008a

I kept the inside fairly simple with another sentiment sticker and a leftover strip of the brown cardstock used for the card base.

2019_0505009a

And one more look… I’m really loving how this stained glass look turned out! Have to admit I was a little skeptical about how it would end but I love it!

darling, you are a work of art

Hello, my crafty friends! Hope you’re having a fantastic day! A new challenge launched over at UnstampaBelles last Monday and today is my showcase day on the blog! I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #89 – To Have and To Hold with a twist of Art Deco Glamour! The twist is not mandatory to play but we’d love to see your creativity and it will put you in the running for DT Favorite!

I created a pretty card that could be used for a bride or groom to give to each other on their wedding day or anniversary. This card features some gorgeous patterned cardstock that I just got along with gold metallic cardstock and Tim Holtz Paper Dolls and Small Talk sentiment stickers.

2019_03170012a

I love this color combo and I think it’s quite stunning. I used several stitched dies (one rectangle and two ovals) to frame the background and the wedding couple. I used sentiment stickers on the front and the inside to adhere to the ‘no stamping’ rule of this design team which I’m really loving and finding challenging! ;)

2019_03170013a

I decorated the inside panel with leftover strips of the cardstock used on the front and of course added a sentiment sticker.

2019_03170014a

And one more peek – I’m totally loving this! That cardstock is the total bomb!

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Stampin’ Up thick Very Vanilla cardstock, The Paper Studio Mirabelle cardstock, The Paper Studio Cream cardstock, Stampin’ Up Gold Foil Sheet

I hope you’ve enjoyed this project and will link up with us this month! Just remember… no stamps allowed on your creations! Thanks for stopping by today – we’ll see you next time! ;)

Happy Easter Greetings

Hello, my crafty peeps! Hope you had a great weekend! A new challenge launched over at UnstampaBelles last Monday and today is my showcase day on the blog! I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #88 – Krazy For Kritters! The twist this month is to add a bokeh background. And there’s a prize in the mix… a $15 AU gift voucher… so let’s see what you got! The twist is not mandatory to play but we’d love to see your creativity and it will put you in the running for DT Favorite!

I created an Easter card using a sweet Easter bunny image and a variety of pretty papers, all layered on kraft paper.

2019_0224001a

I created a bokeh background using a stencil that I made with four different sized circle punches and some white dye ink. I used Skinny Washi Tape for the first time… and I love it! I also added a pretty flower, two green Glittered Gumdrops, a twine bow, and an arrow that I created on my computer.

2019_0224002a

I decorated the inside with a couple leftover strips of paper and a layered sentiment on a layered panel.

2019_0224003a

And here’s one more look… I just love this! ;)

life was meant for a great adventure

Hello, my crafty peeps! Hope you had a great weekend! A new challenge launched over at UnstampaBelles last Monday and today is my showcase day on the blog! I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #87 – Men and Boys! The twist this month is to use a staple or clothespin, or both! And there’s a prize in the mix… a $15 gift voucher (via PayPal or direct to online store)… so let’s see what you got! The twist is not mandatory to play but we’d love to see your creativity and it will put you in the running for DT Favorite!

I created a masculine birthday card using papers, focal image and banner sentiment from Polly’s Paper Studio along with a small piece of corrugated paper, a Tim Holtz paper doll and Small Talk Stickers sentiment, and some wooden gears. Of course, I played the twist with the use of a regular staple. ;)

2019_02030011a

I believe I mentioned last month that the best aspect of being on this design team is no stamping is allowed. It really IS a challenge to intentionally create a project without using any stamps and once I picked out all the elements I wanted to use, I had a great time putting this card together!

2019_02030012a

I kept the inside simple with just the use of the banner sentiment on a layered panel.

2019_02030013a

And one last look… I really love how this turned out! And how about that dimension?!

2019_02030014a

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Stampin’ Up Very Vanilla thick and regular cardstock, Darice teal premium cardstock, Polly’s Paper Studio Masculine Variety papers, focal image and banner sentiment
Accessories:  Tim Holtz Idea-ology Paper Dolls and Small Talk Stickers, Hobby Lobby Woodpile Gears, Darice Foamies black foam, regular stapler with staple

I hope you’ve enjoyed this project and will link up with us this month! You’ll see new inspiration each week! We can’t wait to see what you create without the use of stamps! Thanks so much for stopping by today – we’ll see you next time! ;)
