Hello, my crafty friends! Hope you had a great weekend! A new challenge launched over at UnstampaBelles last Monday and today is my showcase day on the blog! I’m thrilled to share my DT inspiration project for Challenge #92 – Tea In The Garden! The twist this month is Watercolor Wonders.  The twist is not mandatory to play but we’d love to see your creativity and it will put you in the running for DT Favorite! And there’s a prize in the mix… a $15 AU gift voucher… so let’s see what you got!

I created a friendship card using a teacup and flowers die along with a purple and green watercolor background. I am so in love with this card – I think it’s one of the prettiest cards I’ve ever made in all my years of crafting. I’m going to send it to my daughter.  :)

There are multiple layers of the flowers and teacup. I used a gold paint marker to accent the rim, handle and saucer. I used two different prints of skinny Washi Tape. The front and inside sentiments are Tim Holtz Metallic Quotations stickers.

I decorated the inside with leftover strips of the watercolor paper and cardstock used on the front.

One more look at the dimension of the teacup and flowers. I’ve had this die in my stash for several years and this is the first time I’ve used it. Not sure why… it’s absolutely gorgeous!

Products used:
Cardstock/Paper: Stampin’ Up thick and regular Whisper White cardstock, Arches Cold Press Watercolor paper, Stampin’ Up Elegant Eggplant and Always Artichoke cardstock, DCWV Glitzy Pastels Stack
Ink: Tattered Angels Party Pink, It’s Blue and Moss Glimmer Mists; Marvy Uchida DecoColor Gold paint marker
Dies/Punches: Cottage Cutz Teacups & Flowers die
Accessories:  Gemini Junior die cutting machine, Kadomaru Pro corner rounder, Me & My Big Ideas skinny Washi Tape, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Metallic Quotations stickers

I hope you’ve enjoyed this project and will link up with us this month! You’ll see new inspiration each week! We can’t wait to see what you create without the use of stamps! Thanks so much for stopping by today – we’ll see you next time! ;)

Scrappy hugs,

I'm definitely what one could consider a crafting junkie! I love making cards, 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, mini albums and gift bags), mixed media projects, altering items, as well as occasional beading and making jewelry! Fortunately, hubby is very supportive! Life is good! :D

  1. Hi Aimslee – thanks for the sweet comment! This die is still sold – it’s out of stock at Scrapping Cottage but it IS available at The Frantic Stamper for just under $8. It may be available at some other online stores but these are two that popped up in my search. I’ve had it for several years and don’t remember where I bought it. I hope you get it – it’s a good one! :)

Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment! I love reading them!
