Luck O’ the Irish

Hey everybody, Happy Friday! I hope you’ve had a great week and you’re looking forward to doing something fun this weekend! Our new challenge is live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m delighted to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #166 – Anything Goes! I created a very cool hybrid St. Patrick’s Day card. Green is my all-time favorite color, and I have quite a few super awesome digital images from The Hungry JPEG and some great Hero Arts sentiment stamps, so it didn’t take me long to figure out what to make – just in time for St. Patty’s Day!

I cut a square side-folding card base from CutCardStock Mantis Green cardstock. I printed the green beer image and sentiment from The Hungry JPEG Lucky Charmers Collection on CutCardStock Royal Sundance Ivory Linen cardstock. I trimmed the image down to a square size and punched the sentiment with a circle punch. I cut a square panel and punched a slightly large circle from CutCardStock Bright Gold Foil cardstock, and layered the image and sentiment. The finishing touch was adding several gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Andradite Sparkle Embellishment Mix with my Trinity Pick Up Stick.

I cut the inside panel from Neenah Classic Crest Baronial Ivory and embellished it with leftover strips of CutCardStock Mantis Green and Royal Sundance Ivory linen cardstock. I stamped a rather humorous sentiment from the Hero Arts Irreverent Birthday Messages stamp set in Catherine Pooler Lime Rickey ink.

  1. A brilliant image for a St. Patrick’s card, green beer! Love your monochrome design- green is my favourite colour too. The inside looks great- such a fun sentiment.
