Washi thanks

Hi everyone! You’ll remember a few weeks back I announced that I was invited to join the a2z Scrapbooking DT and looking forward to working with Hero Arts products! Well, today is July 1st and I’m stoked to share my debut project for our July Anything Goes challenge! Come on over and play with us – we know you love the ‘anything goes’ theme!

I created an all-digital one-layer ‘thanks’ note card using two pretty amazing Hero Arts digital sets in the a2z Scrapbooking store – Washi Tape Digital Kit and Say It In Pieces Digital Greetings. It’s been many years since I created all-digital card and I really enjoyed creating the design for this. It would be a fantastic card to mass produce, as it only takes cardstock and these two wonderful digital stamp sets!

LTurner-July-AG

Yep, all those ‘pieces’ of Washi tape and the black pearls are digital elements that I arranged with a simple sentiment and printed on cream cardstock. Black and white… what a traditional but striking combination! I left the inside blank. I’m so pleased with how this turned out!

Truly Grateful Note Card

Hello, my crafty friends! Well, aren’t we just rockin’ right on into the second half of the year! Hard to believe it’s already July 1st. Hope you’re working on your Christmas cards because the holidays will be here in the blink of an eye! It’s time for another fun challenge over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #12 – July Anything Goes! Come on over and play with us!

I used the absolutely gorgeous Stampin’ Up! Truly Grateful stamp set to create this thank you note card done in neutrals with a little yellow and a pop of orange. All the panels and flags are layered on brown cardstock.

I created the background by stamping the woodgrain image, then random tree trunks and acorns from the same stamp set. I punched some flags that I arranged under the focal image. I added brown twine for a little texture. The only other embellishment used were brown flat-back pearls. I left the inside blank as this is a note card.

** 7/30/17 Top 3 at Pearly Sparkles Challenge Blog! **

Hi everyone! A very happy July 1st to you! And it’s Saturday – hope you have a great weekend planned! We have a new challenge going live this morning over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog and I’m tickled to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #99 – Anything Goes! We’re being sponsored this month by Little Blue Button Stamps, Limited Runs Stamps and SheepSki Designs! Come on over and play with us for a chance to win an awesome prize!

I created an adorable Halloween card using the Witch Splat image from Limited Runs Stamps! Is this not the cutest image ever?! I stamped diagonal lines on the background panel and used some gingham ribbon. I wanted to keep the background tame so as not to detract from this awesome image. :)

I generally color my own images but I knew I couldn’t go wrong with a pre-colored one this time. I love it! Just too cute! I added some glitter to the icing for a little texture and stamped a rather large sentiment across the bottom. :)

I kept the inside simple, stamping a sentiment and small witch image on a layered panel. Very happy with how this turned out! :)

Hi everyone! I’m having a hard time with how fast this year is flying by… it’s July 1st already – how did that happen?! It’s time for another fun technique challenge over at Mix It Up Challenge Blog and I’m really excited to share my mixed media friendship card for MIUCB #3 – Anything Goes + Distressing. Our challenges always have an optional technique twist to get you inspired! The distressing – if you decide to include it – can be ink or tool. I did a little of both on my project! :)

Leslie

I had the best time picking out the papers and ephemera I wanted to use. I also got a piece of black ric-rac, an index clip and a doily. I distressed each paper piece with either Black Soot distress ink or tool (or both), then did a ‘dry run’ with all the layers.

2017_06210002a

Once I had everything where I wanted, I started adhering the pieces, some with dimensional foam tape and some without, then adhered the entire piece to the card base. I added some black Twinkle Goosebumps and a few dots of Mustard Seed Crystal Drops.

2017_06210003a

The last step involved splattering black Gesso mixed with water, and when that dried, I added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins (my favorite!).

2017_06210004a

I decorated the inside panel with leftover strips of paper from the front, all distressed as well, and then stamped the sentiment and a bee. Love, love, love!
