Hi everyone! Happy April Fools Day, lol! I get a big charge out of this day every year even though I rarely play jokes on anybody anymore! A new challenge is live over at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog this morning and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for LTSCB #120 – Male Call! We are being sponsored this month by Bugaboo Digi Stamps so be sure to come over and play – we’d love to see your masculine project! I created a masculine birthday card for an avid fisherman somewhere using the Boy Fishing Digi Stamp. This image is so super adorable!
I dug into my stash of masculine 6×6 papers and created a background with two of them and layered the image on a third. I used graduating sizes of stitched rectangle dies and stamped a ‘best wishes’ type sentiment which I also cut with a stitched rectangle die.
I decorated the inside with a couple leftover strips of cardstock and paper from the front, and stamped another sentiment.
And one more look… so cute! I just love these greens! And can you believe NO embellishments?!
Cardstock/Paper: Stampin’ Up thick and regular Whisper White cardstock, Stampin’ Up Garden Green cardstock, Crafter’s Companion Just For Men Brights Collection 6×6 paper pad

Ink: Studio 71 alcohol markers- YR4, YR14, YR15, R2, R12, C7, N2, N5, B1, B9, E15, E18, BG7, BG8; Memento Tuxedo Black ink

Hi everyone! Happy Monday to you! Our new sketch challenges this month are live over at Stick It Down and I’m proud to be one of the Featured Designers! I’ve popped in this morning to share my Card Team inspiration project! Spiegelmom Scraps is our sponsor this month so come on over and play for a chance to win a prize! The card team is showcasing projects today on the blog and this is our super awesome card sketch this month:
I created a pretty note card using the gorgeous African Violet image and paper from Fred, She Said Designs. The images and papers in this set go together beautifully – I used the red version. I added a pretty script sentiment die cut.
Mandi created an awesome sketch, and this card would be really easy to mass produce to create a set to give as a gift. I turned the landscape element in the center to a portrait orientation, and added a scrap of white crochet lace for a little texture and interest.
Since this is a note card, I left the inside blank to write a custom note to the recipient.
Here’s one more look… I’m so smitten! I love this sketch and I’m thrilled to have worked with this gorgeous image and paper!
Cardstock/Paper: Stampin’ Up Watermelon Wonder and Whisper White cardstock; Fred, She Said Designs African Violets Paper
Stamps: Fred, She Said Designs African Violets digital image

You have until the end of the month to play and we’d love to see what you create! Be sure to check out all the fun goodies that Spiegelmom Scraps has in her shop! Hi everyone! Happy Monday and April 1st! It really is Monday and that’s not an April Fool’s joke, lol! Where do the weekends go?! This month’s challenge is live over at Merry Little Christmas Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for MLCCB #9 – April Anything Christmas Goes. I’m in love with the Impossible Card fold and have created another one, this time in non-traditional Christmas colors with rounded corners and several layers on each panel.
I cut a wreath from Lovely Lipstick and Always Artichoke cardstock using one of my Simply Crafty SVGs cut files to use as the focal element. I embellished the bow with a large pink gemstone and placed a few tiny pink Dot Sparklers around the wreath. I hand-cut several flags and layered the flat side of each under a punched image layered on a scalloped circle. I add a couple medium pink gemstones in the lower right corner.
There is no stamping on this card, which is unusual for me, lol! I used a glue pen and glitter to embellish the sentiment and punched images from the paper which really gives them nice shimmer but doesn’t photograph very well. :(
And one final look with the flap pushed forward and the card ready to put into an envelope. I love that it folds flat!
Cardstock/Paper: Stampin’ Up Very Vanilla, Tip Top Taupe, Lovely Lipstick and Always Artichoke cardstock, Crafter’s Companion Vintage Christmas Collection 6×6 paper pad
Dies/Punches: Simply Crafty SVGs Holiday Lamp Post cut file, Stampin’ Up 1″, 3/4″ and 1-1/4″ Circle Punches, Stampin’ Up Banner Triple Punch, EK Success 1-1/2″ Scallop Punch
Accessories: Kadomaru Corner Rounder, Recollections Pink Gemstones, Stampendous Pink Dot Sparklers, Zig 2-Way Glue Pen, Stampin’ Up Dazzling Diamonds Glitter
I hope you’ve enjoyed this Impossible Card and will link up a project with us this month – we’d love to see what you create! It’s never too soon to get started on your Christmas projects! Thanks for stopping by today and we’ll see you again soon! ;)
Hello, my crafty peeps! Time is flying by and a new challenge has launched this morning over at Love To Craft Challenge Blog. I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for LTCCB #33 – April Anything Goes – an Arrow Fold friendship card! Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely love fancy folds and this one rates right up there with the best! My inspiration came from Sam, HERE. Sam is one of my newer YouTube subscriptions and she’s fantastic!
I used Stampin’ Up paper and cardstock, and a new Hero Arts stamp set. I used a couple dotted circle dies for the layered sentiment, some pretty flowers and a twine bow, a few flags embellished with white dots, and a filigree charm.
Here’s a shot of the inside. I’m thrilled with how this turned out. This paper is so pretty! I did embellish the centers of most of the flowers with my white Gelly Roll pen to make them pop.
And one more look… such a cool fold!
Cardstock/Paper: White Clear Path Paper cardstock, Stampin’ Up Tranquil Tide and Mint Macaron cardstock, Stampin’ Up Share What You Love Specialty DSP
Stamps: Hero Arts You Are Fabulous stamp set

Dies/Punches: Sizzix Dotted Circles dies, EK Success 3/4″ Square Punch

Hiya, crafty peeps! Yep, the time is flying by – welcome to April! Do you have any April Fool’s jokes planned for anyone, lol?! A new challenge is live this morning over at Mix It Up Challenge Blog and I’m happy to share my DT inspiration project for MIUCB #24 – Anything Goes + Black & White Plus One Color. Remember, all of our challenges are ‘anything goes’ and we offer a different technique twist each month to inspire you, but the twist is not required to play! So come on over and join us!
I had already created a birthday card for the hubs several months ago but I’m thinking I may give him this one instead. His birthday is in June so I have a couple months to decide which one to give him. All stamps used on the front of this card are from Blank Page Muse. I used green with the black and white, and layered all the panels on black. I cut the sentiment with a dotted circles die and layered it on black foam.
I kept the inside relatively simple with stamped sentiments from Sparkle N Sprinkle on a layered panel.
Cardstock/Paper: Stampin’ Up thick and regular Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock, Crafter’s Companion Just For Men 6×6 paper
Stamps: Blank Page Muse Diamonds Background stamp, Classic Car Front End View stamp, and A Real Classic sentiment stamp; Sparkle N Sprinkle Woody stamp set
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Bamboo Leaves ink
Dies/Punches: Sizzix Dotted Circles die
Accessories: Tim Holtz Stamp Platform, Black Darice Foamies foam
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s masculine birthday card and will link up with us this month! We’d love to see your ‘anything goes’ project – or play the twist if you’d like! Black and white with one color isn’t too hard to pull off! Thanks for stopping by today and we’ll see you again real soon! ;)
