One stamp, two cards – hugs and hello

Hi everyone! Can you believe it’s the first of June already?! In another few (short) weeks, half of the year will be officially over! I’m stoked to be back on the CutCardStock blog today with an awesome DT inspiration project featuring Pop Tone cardstock (which is on sale this month so be sure to get some!) that I paired with some gorgeous Sundance Linen to make these cards pop! Affiliate links are used in this post at no cost to you. I really appreciate your support! I used one stamp and colored the images slightly differently to make two different all-occasion cards. I love having a variety of cards in my stash!

I stamped the image twice on Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock, colored with alcohol markers and trimmed both sides. I cut two standard A2 size top-folding card bases from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with layering panels from Royal Sundance Linen Eclipse Black cardstock, Pop Tone Gumdrop Green cardstock and Pop Tone Wild Cherry cardstock. I adhered the layering panels together, and using the CUTplorations hugs Word Die and CUTplorations Skinny Sentiments, I added a die cut sentiment to each card. The finishing touch was adding some tiny iridescent gemstones to each card front.

I cut the inside panels from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished each one with strips of the Pop Tone Wild Cherry cardstock and Pop Tone Gumdrop Green cardstock along with narrow strips of the Royal Sundance Linen Eclipse Black cardstock. I stamped two different sentiments in black ink and layered the panels on the corresponding color of cardstock.

And one more look at each card… I’m totally smitten with how these turned out! So colorful and elegant but yet a simple design!

Crazy cat lady and crafting junkie! We care for 15 feline rescues and just added a Forkie pup to the tribe (Frenchie + Yorkie)! I’m addicted to stamping and love making cards, ATCs, and 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, paper purses and mini albums). I also dabble in mixed media, art journaling, altered art and custom jewelry. If you’re looking for me, I’ll either be in my studio or getting some kitty or puppy lovins! ;)
