Hope You’re Feeling Special Today

Hey everybody! Happy Tuesday! We saw a rainbow over our cabin this morning… what a wonderful start to our day! I’ve popped in to share another Splitcoast Stampers Dirty Dozen DT inspiration project. This sweet birthday card features loads of pink and a tag on the front with a gorgeous pink crown!

I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock along with a layering panel from a pale pink paper in the Keep It Simple Rose 12×12 Collection Pack. I chose a pink dotted tag from the ephemera in the same paper pack, stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Garden in Bloom stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the tag, and tied a bow to the top of the tag with Doodlebug Design Lily White Doodle Twine.

I stamped the crown from the Ellen Hutson Bravehearted stamp set in black ink on a slightly darker scrap of pink paper (from the same paper pack), cut it with the coordinating Ellen Hutson Bravehearted die, and popped it up on a foam strip. I laid the tag on the card front for placement and then stamped the second part of the sentiment before adhering the tag. The finishing touch was adding several gemstones from the Trinity Stamps Morganite Muse Embellishment Mix using my Trinity Pick Up Stick.

I cut the inside panel from 80# Solar White cardstock and embellished it with a scrap of dotted paper from the Keep It Simple Rose 12×12 Collection Pack. I stamped a sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Beautiful You stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and layered the panel on the pink paper used on the front.

Crazy cat lady and crafting junkie! We care for 15 feline rescues and just added a Forkie pup to the tribe (Frenchie + Yorkie)! I’m addicted to stamping and love making cards, ATCs, and 3-D projects (especially paper shoes, paper purses and mini albums). I also dabble in mixed media, art journaling, altered art and custom jewelry. If you’re looking for me, I’ll either be in my studio or getting some kitty or puppy lovins! ;)
